All time favourite anime Character?

Brock Obama
Name a character, and give a few reasons why. I'll start.

My all time favourite is-guess who? No cookie for this one, its too obvious.

Reasons:

Brock appeared since the first season, and the first season was shot like a traditional Japanese anime with good plot and character development, unlike the later seasons which became more and more a propaganda tool to con 6 year olds into buying Pokemon games.

Brock, in my opinion, has one of the most well-developed and distinct character traits in the entire anime, being a father/big brother mentor figure to Ash and Misty from the very beginning, something which replacement Tracy lacks, and lead to Brock being brought back for Johto, and in my opinion, should be back after the BW season is over. The anime also gives reasons for Brock being so mature because he was the eldest son and had to look after his many siblings in their parents' absence. However, Brock is also not a cliche "mentor" character as he is still portrayed as a human with clear strengths and weaknesses, like his womanizing habits, which makes him more like (younger) Obi-Wan from Star Wars who mentors his junior as an equal and friend rather than the "Master Yoda" stereotype, and this makes him more realistic and appealing to the audience. Due to his weaknesses and faults, Brock is also the target of many of the running gags throughout the anime (the other characters being the Team Rocket trio), like his womanizing habits which appear in almost (if not all) every episode and movie, which always lead to failure in one form or another.

*The following paragraph is my own interpretation*
Also, Brock aspires to become a Pokemon Breder but opts to become a doctor in the end, primarily because he is eyeing the 2012 Presidential Campaign and statistics show that Presidents have mostly been Lawers, Doctors or Businessmen, and since a doctor stands more chance of election than a humble biologist, and medicine is not so far away from his field of expertise in biology, Brock opts for the Medicine sector instead, which shows that he is one of the few smart characters in the anime.

*End of my own interpretation*

Overall, I believe that Brock is the best and most human and appealing character in the anime.
