I've been EV training my Latios in Special attack. The way I've been doing this, is by trading records with a friend. My Latios has Macho Brace and Poke'Rus.

In his secret base, there are 6 beautiflys in there. As many know, it gives 3 EVs towards Special Attack stat. So heres what I got so far...

3*2*2*6

6 for the 6 beautiflys in his secret base. I can only have 255 EVs correct?

255/72

It would equal around 3 or 4 battles rounding it up. Since the fourth battles would give it an extra 33 EVs, Am I still able to use those 33 EVs for a different stat, or am I screwed in that department?

Also, I've checked the IV calculator to calculate my Latios' stats. He has a Careful Nature (sucks because i wanted him to have highest special attack stat possible) and his stats are as followed

Speed-99

I put EV training in Special attack as 255 because I'm pretty sure I at very least got him the 255. Heres what it says.

How is this possible? It says Special Attack should be 161 yet it is only 128.

Can someone please explain what just happened.

Also, I'm planning on getting Fire Red soon, and might get GS/AR to get Deoxys since i missed the events, will it produce any major glitches in the game?

^it's because of his low sp.att ev probably, and talking about cheating devices isn't allowed, read the rules, but i acctually recomend you not to even try to use any,
A tip for future ev training- never get a stat with 255 ev's in it, better have 252 ev's, that way you can get 1 extra point in another stat

U have only trained him 3 levels so that might have something to do with it, and i think that the nature has something to do with it...
