Altering cave

can anyone tell me what the point of altering cave is on the sevii islands? it's just an empty thing with zubats...kinda pointless^^;

Altering Cave is a cave that was supposed to have certain Johto Pokemon, but was removed all its information and filled with Zubats because these Pokemon can be found in Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness.

look at it this way, if you want a shiny Crobat, you won't have to worry about finding anything OTHER than Zubats. When you encounter a shiny there, it's a 100% possibility that it will be Zubat. the glass is half full.
