Am i doing good?

I am currently standing outside canalave's gym ready to beat it. (6th gym) my team is currently:

Empoleon lv. 36
Nature: Lax
surf
peck
metal claw
fury attack

Espeon lv. 37
Nature: Modest
psybeam
grass knot
shadow ball
cut

Gabite lv. 36
Nature:Timid
Dragon claw
Earthquake
Slash
Rock smash

Luxray lv. 37
Nature: Bashful
Thunder Fang
Roar
Bite
Strength

Houndoom lv. 38
Nature: calm
Flamethrower
Roar
Bite
Odor sleuth

Am i doing good at this point? Are my levels where they should be, below average, or above average? I was really hoping to have a Garchomp by the elite four, but at this rate im not sure Gabite is going to get to level 48 by then. I'm mostly concerned with levels right now, moveset options would be cool but i mostly just want know if my pokemon are at good levels for the point of the game im in.

So what do you guys think? What levels were your pokemon at this point, and what levels were they when you started the elite four?

your team is good work on empoleons moves, gabite and espeon have a good variety of moves you should be able to do it just watch out for ground type moves. also you are you planing for your sixth pokemon
P.S i had a garchomp at the elite four you definitly will

Yeah im getting giratina, well i already got giratina. I'm on my way to victory road with a Garchomp before even entering the cave all pokemon are level 44-48 now too. Big difference from before.

Empoleon also now knows ice beam too, so thats a + for him.
