AM I the only one who would like to see Meowth evolve???

Recently, I have been jumbling around "What If?" questions in my head, and some of them about the Anime were "What would it be like if Meowth evolved? Would he retain his ability to talk? Would he have a sexier voice? Would he be able to battle well? Would he still be funny?". I'd love to see the writers experiment somehow, or write some "What If" episode of Meowth's evolution. It wouldn't have to be canonical with the series, but it would be cool. Pokemon Chronicles maybe?

Yeah, that might be bad, but are their any good things about it? I think he would basically act like James at first, trying to be serious and whatnot, but then it would turn into humor slowly.

Why would you want him to evolve? If he did, his personality would change and the same Meowth that we all know and love would be gone forever. His whole image of being a Meowth has been ingrained into the show so much now that if he ever became a Persian, we'd perceive him differently. He wouldn't be Meowth anymore, and we'd have to refer to Team Rocket as "Jessie, James, and Persian." Does that sound right to you?

You mentioned that it wouldn't have to be canonical with the series. If you mean an episode that'd be made for "fun," then yeah, I'm all for it. It'd be interesting to see how freaky it can get. But it'll never happen.

What if Mewoth evolved?

What if Pikachu evolved?

What if Brock got a girlfriend?

What if Ash caught every wild Pokemon he saw?

What if *some*shipping happened?

What if Max caught a Pokemon?

What if Team Rocket actually stole a Pokemon?

What if Misty came back and had a biatch-fight with Misty?

What if Giovanni took over the world?

Etc. Of course, make them funny and not uberly serious.

Well, of course it would seem off, but even if he was a Persian, he could still have a funny personality. I think it COULD be canonical if they wrote it this way.

The episode starts like a normal Filler episode with Ash and the rest of the gang going along some Route, then some type of story events would go on and Meowth would evolve and battle Ash and MIRACULOUSLY beat him [Cheating , Of Course!], and then it would start to get weird like Persian using Hyper Beam all of a sudden on the gang and having THEM blast off, then all of a sudden you would see Meowth sitting on a hill or something by him self saying "Ahh, A Meowth can dream right?", then in the background Jessie and James are seen fighting over an apple they found on the ground, then Meowth would pull out an Apple he had on him and secretly eat it in one big bite, then say "Well, back to reality!" then he would pretend as if he hadn't ate in ages and fight over the apple with Jessie and James, then as they were scrambling, they all rolled down hill over a cliff with their classic "Blasting Off Again!" phrase, then we'd see Ash and the gang walking along another route, then they'd hear screaming then a crash. Ash would stop and ask "Woah, did u guys hear that?" and Max would say "Meh, it was nothing" and May and Brock would agree and they'd continue walking. I'd Love That!

I guess I would like him to stay the same. After all, he's sorta like a human. If he evole, to me, his personality just wouldn't match. Unless they make another evolvolution form for him, that is more similar to Meowth than Persian (Sorry, forgot how to spell the name), I could get use to that.

Who said the Pokemon's personality changes with Evolution, sure, we have seen Lombre-to-Ludicolo, and Charmander-to-Charizard, but who said the change has to happen to every Pokemon? He might still have funny fantasies about his boss, and still be sly yet sort of......"Meowth-ish"....Anyways, I'm not sure if the writers would give him another evolution, and chances are they'd never evolve him anyways, but ifhe would evolve, I for one wouldn't mind. It would be funny if he evolved, but his voice or personaility didn't change, and he still had that high pitched voice he has always had. XD

I would hate for Meowth to evolve, he's an AWESOME character. I look forward to watching some episodes that I know will be funny because of Meowth. And I think it evolving into a Persian will take away from it's character. And I also think that a talking NYC style accent Persian would be weird.

I responde "no" to the poll but after reading this I think it would be very interesting. Maybe a pikachu short about Raichu and Persian. At the end whe recognise that this is Meowth's dream.
