Amazing thing on Super Mario 64

Guy

I don't know!

Kabuto

little punks!
Is that the same guy that beat Super Mario Bros. 3 in 11 minutes, xD. I guess I have ways to go before I can get in the records, but I assure you one day I will beat New Super Mario in 7 minutes. Mark my words....

That's awsome, he obviously has a lot of free time on his hands to practice like that.

I know, he like sped through the endless stairs o_O

Is this possible on the DS version? >_>

Oh yawn. I saw a much better one than this. And I think the other one I saw was done in a faster time too.

Can we see the video, then?

Le Edit: I just saw another video... I can say that this one is screwed :p

Yeah. I've seen a one that's a few years old and done in 16 Minutes.
IIRC Speed Demo Archives has it.

I have tried like crazy on the DS, and I can't do it. On 64 you have the control stick, on DS all we have is the d pad or the stylus, makes glitches harder. Since I can't do it on the DS (like I could the 64) I am not even sure the glitches are there anymore.

IceKing

Sexorific!
Things particularly impressing me:

Nabbing the one in the pyramid
Pwning the Chain Chomp
Getting the first Cavern One
What he did with teh bunny

Most impressive
Entering the 50 star door with the backward bumps, that made me nearly **** my pants
Same with never ending stairs

The only thing that had me unimpressed was his first four Bowser bomb throws and how close he needed to be. But damn, that was still amazing.

Oh yawn. I saw a much better one than this. And I think the other one I saw was done in a faster time too.

Oh shet up. If one day you saw a flying Manbearbig making out with a clone of Kelly Clarkson whose genetically modified to have purple hands and a fifty foot tall head, would it be any less amazing if you saw the same thing happening, except with two flying Manbearpigs?

You try to do that and then you can yawn

What really surprises me is how easy he makes it look. I'm wondering what are the controls for the weird backward bump

That's the 16 minute guy. I wonder if its the same guy with more practice

Wow that was awsome. He must have had a lot of time to practice especially with the pyramid star. The bunny glitch impressed me too. I think i might have to try that. But the endless stair glitch was really awsome, even though you'd have to pracice almost non-stop.

He may have done it with an emulator as well. That would open up the control possibilities and might make it a little easier. The guy that beat Super Mario Brothers 3 in 11 minutes used an emulator.

I was just about to mention that video. >_>

Anyway, when watching the two in succession (The 16 minutes video first, then the 20 minute video), it's pretty clear that the guy who beat it faster had more skill. He had my jaw dropping more than the other video did.

If you're wondering about the glitches, they're probably undoable in the DS version. My brother's done a similar thing in the endless stairs facing the other way, which should work as well as what he did (keyword: should), but don't go trying to do it, as many of those glitches look virtually impossible to pull off, even in the 64 version.
EDIT: Nice!!!!! saw the 16 minute one.
