Okay, that whole scenario may have had me cracking up. Something like this really needs to happen.

What I want to see is Serena asking Ash how she looks in her new outfit and than we get Bonnie responding with, "yeah, how does she look?" since Bonnie is an Amourshipper and all. How awesome of a scene would that be? Ash would have no clue what Bonnie is getting at and just looks at her like she has three heads.

Now that would be something else, wouldn't it?

Honestly, Ash is so dense he probably doesn't even realize how much his opinion means to Serena, so he wouldn't expect her to freak out if he said yes. I doubt Serena would even throw a fit if he did say yes. Ash being the dense gentleman he is, would still probably compliment Serena though.
Still, this gave me a good laugh so props to you.

Well, Serena, if anything, would ask just how she looks in general. Now it would be interesting if she only wanted Ash's opinion on how she looked, especially if the rest of the group was there. And Ash would more likely give a neutral answer like "you look good in that" or something along those lines given he's not the fashion expert.

Also interesting to see how much priority Ash's opinion gets with Serena. As long as he approves, that's like all that matters to her. And in XY 80, interesting that he complemented how she looked in the dress instead of commenting on her performance (honestly, here's where her short hair fits very well with the dress, and her cutting of the hem probably worked even better). That complement turned her all red and she was stuttering a bit, still not really used to his complements (XY 21, 53, 60, and some others also having her blush with his complements).

Anyhow, I was able to see the second XY082 preview - I'd wait until the full episode airs to see the entire context behind that scene. For now I'm going to sit tight

Well, Serena had only asked for Ash's opinions in some cases so far. In episode 7 with her Ryhorn racing outfit, in episode 21 with her Pokevision, some moments in the date episode (though Ash keeps interrupting Serena and they are alone so no one else is there to be asked) and in episode 73 while she was looking for an outfit for her next performance (too bad Ash wasn't present). Anyway, we'll just have to sit back and wait until the episode airs. There are a lot of things that may happen in this episode but small hints like Serena asking only for Ash's opinion and Ash's opinion itself wound be a nice little touch.

After seeing a certain GIF on tumblr, something just occurred to me. Remember the scene when Miette first noticed Serena's haircut and quietly asked if Ash had rejected her? Ash clearly didn't hear her. However, Pikachu’s hearing is much better than a human’s. Over the years, we’ve seen it hear things before the humans do many, many times. So I’m betting Pikachu heard what Miette said. XD I'm pretty sure Pikachu ships it. XD

Given the last 2 Tripokalon having important Amour hints and surprises, how do you guys think the writers will handle the next one and what's your expectations?

I'm not exactly sure what kind of hype the next Tripokelons will have. By now, we already know that Miette will become a recurring rival for Serena so we are now going to expect some amour moments whenever she's around, which in some way kills the thrill. I mean, we all love surprises. The announcement of the date episode and the announcement of Miette's return created a lot of hype. IMO, we may not be as thrilled as we used to be because we are already going to expect some big hints when Miette appears again and I'm sure that the writers will in some way, tone down playing with Serena's feelings and may only focus on the Tripokelon instead. My only expectation is that Serena and Miette will have some time with only the two of them.

It's most likely to happen that a main character gets separated from the rest for a while along with his/her rival (e.g May with Drew.......*bleerrghh!!!* ) and in those times, the two of them works together, have some talks and strengthen their bonds as friend/rival. Between those times, I'm sure that either Miette or Serena will bring up a topic about Ash. If Serena will be the one to bring up Ash, she will most likely talk about how much of an influence he is to her and how important his advises were and I'm sure Miette will realize why Serena have strong feelings for Ash in the 1st place. If Miette was to bring up Ash, she may say things that will remind Serena of telling her feelings for Ash.

Long story short, I'm expecting that Serena and Miette will be alone for a while and have some decent talk, Ash included. This will also bring out Serena's real opinion about her feelings for Ash since everytime Miette brings up the topic, Serena gets tongue tied while Ash is around. IMO, it is important that for once, she voices out her feelings to others even though it's not Ash himself since it will make her feel more confident. Serena is just really good at keeping her feelings for herself (Then again Miette and Bonnie knows) and it wouldn't hurt if she voices out her feelings to others at least once.

Um I'm honestly not sure what to think about the next Tripokalon. I'm just content with whatever the writers have in store for us. But when I saw the preview, I was actually pretty excited. Serena's Tripokalon performance looks AMAZING. I love how she decided to use the same dress she wore as last time, as well as Braixen's outfit, which looks quite similar to Haruka's Contest outfit for ORAS. We don't really have much to work with right now in terms of Amourshipping since really..all we got were a couple of shots. Expectations? Yes, more Amourshipping hints. I keep wanting Satoshi to have that moment when he realizes that he likes Serena while she's performing but..eeehhhh...not sure if that will happen

I'm thinking the scene is the just the characters showing off their outfits in a short montage, like the screen pans up Ash's body while he's in his Snorlax suit and Bonnie kind of dances in her Ludicolo outfit. I don't think it's anything to get super excited about.

Well, assuming the next one might be in the town after Anistar (Camphrier Town I think), I think this might be where Serena uses Gastro Acid and suppresses Ash's Oblivious ability (Ok that just sounded so ,so weird). I mean, we already know that Serena's feelings for Ash, so, then would be a good time for Ash to realize that he has feelings for Serena as well.

I think it would be great if somehow Ash's gym battle has to happen at the same time as Serena's showcase. They could have this huge Amourshipping moment without the two even interacting in this episode. Make it visibly clear that they both are thinking to themselves that they wish the other was there to support them and they would both lose because the other wasn't there. Sounds kind of corny in writing but I think it would work on-screen.

As for my expectations it will probably star Eevee in its first showcase and since it's a new addition, it's undisciplined and it loses because of that.

That's the problem a lot of us on here have, we all seem to want Ash to go from 0 to 100 on the romance scale. That simply can't happen, we need Ash to go from 0 to 5 and 5 to 10 etc. He is making baby steps though with the ribbon and the compliments and whatnot.

I think the writers will handle it the same way they have with the last 2 tripokalons, lots of amour hints and amour development tied in with the performance. I also expect that we will get our first genuine Ash hint in the next tripokalon. It's a high hope, but I think it's time.

This^. I mean, there could even be a conflict on what should be dealt with first, given Satoshi's impatience and all that. But honestly, I doubt they'd do something like this, since Tripokalons seem to have actual timeslots, where gyms can be challenged at any time depending on the leader's availability. But who knows? I still like this idea anyway.

Well, that's not exactly what I was thinking. Sorry I was a bit vague, but I'm not looking for Satoshi to just suddenly go gushing over Serena after one scene. It would be something more gradual. Like a couple of close-up shots on his face (I'm guessing he'd be looking so focused XD ) while watching Serena perform. At that point, you're not 100% sure if there's something going on there (some could be like 60 or 80% sure, who knows), but then people like us would gobble these types of scenes down. Then, nothing is touched upon right after. We still get more compliments here and there as the show progresses, more "inspirational moments" moments like Serena has, but any blatant hint of Satoshi's feelings towards Serena would be left in the dark.

So yeah, seeing Satoshi having a major crush on Serena just like that is a bit...farfetched.

Personally the idea to have both Ash and Serena competing for their respective things at the same town is an interesting and good idea to employ. I'd like it to happen at the latter end of things - perhaps Serena goes for her final Key while Ash goes for the eighth badge, and with that all going on they share stronger, significant Amour hints during their quests to lock in for the higher competitions (Ash for the League Champion, Serena for Kalos Queen). Ideally I'd like to see it happening, but I don't see it come to fruition (only based on the past history where the anime let us down at key moments).

In terms of Ash's own development on the romance scale, I'd say he's still either on the baby stage or in the beginning stages, BUT gradually stepping from the far end of the spectrum. I still can recall all the other sagas where Ash would be too oblivious (more so than the XY version) that he wouldn't even give a compliment of a girl's dress. A note about a general type of guy (one that is classified as a Neanderthal) - they are, in general, oblivious to emotion (including things related to romance) - and that is what I classify Ash to be. Not a bad thing, of course, but still the truth in my eyes. Which is why, like many have stated, if Ash were to take significant steps to have Amourshipping be canon, Serena will need to step up her game to get her own crush's feelings to realization. I feel that he's too zoned out of those type of feelings still, even with the stuff that's been going on.

That being said, I look forward to the near future of the XY series. It looks like we've got at least a year left to go, and who knows? Maybe Serena sticks around for the next saga, or dreams come to fruition for one/both of them, or even (regardless of results of their own competitions) a small sweet moment during a small trip to memory lane of a certain town where Amourshipping was born.
