If you observe the surroundings, it's still sunset so they are still not reunited with Bonnie and Clemont, he is inside a forest and he is alone.

If TR is involved in this (BTW the text on the left side can be read as "Satoshi, there's little time left!?") and if you follow my speculations, Serena got involved with TR's scheme and also captured. This could lead to the same scene where Satoshi holds Serena's hand when they are kids after he saved her.

Maybe they showed the preview of Serena attempting to hold hands with Satoshi so that they can link that with this scene.

Again this is just my speculation and I can be wrong.

If their goal was to substantially hype this episode after (At least for me) disappointing summaries, then yes, they have achieved their Goal.
I did not honestly expect something like this. I will refrain from voicing my own opinion for now, until I can gather my thoughts before just saying random things.
As for translations, of course there have been people who have given some, but I will also post mine here as well.
(Also, this (Yes, it works on chrome, just read the replies) and this (Online Japanese to English dictionary that even supports Roman characters) are excellent resources even for people who do not know anything about the language.)

Uhh, whoops?

I have another scenario for this. Since we are not sure which gift the TRio got (I'm assuming right now that the gift they got is the one Ash is going to give to Serena as a surprise), he might ran off leaving Serena behind, which would obviously make her sad. And when he got the gift back, we got the night scene with Ash talking to Serena and Serena got a surprised look. I'm assuming that he is now explaining why he left her behind, telling her that it was because of that gift and told her how important it is (inserting Melod93's translation here for additional explanation)), to which Serena understands.

Still, I'd prefer your scenario. Hopefully that scene with Serena trying to grab Ash's hand does foreshadow something in this episode and actually end up with them actually holding hands.

Then let's hope they will protect Ash's feelings, too. Why would Ash break Serena's hearth and then ask her to keep that secret in front of everyone? Let's hope that they are starting secret relationship which would be revealed to Bonnie and Clemont at the end of the series.

Oh waitwaitwait! Maybe... when they were on the monorail, Serena asked for whom was the present, and he responded for one of his Pokémon (maybe Pikachu), then, when they got off the monorail, TR appeared and stole the present (maybe they heard about the tradition and didn't have money, so they stole it to do that with their Pokémon, I don't know lol), so Ash recovered it somehow, returned by night to thr Coumarine Gym, and gave it to Serena.

"Actually, it wasn't for Pikachu, it was for you, Serena!" *rubs/swipes nose*
Then we see Serena surprised, blushing, and with no reaction time, the camera cuts to the Vow Tree (which I think is Ramos' Gym) lighting up, and "To be Continued!"

This will be one exciting episode. It's a shame the best man in this thread pK' can't make it, but many thanks to him!

I saw the image and thought of that song, but I went further. I recalled a scene from "Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist" (great movie, BTW), where one of the gay band members holds Nick's hand for some reason, and then a couple of lesbian girls walk by and the gay guy raises their hands. DISCLAIMER: I don't want to sound judgemental, but I didn't recall the gay guy's name, I only know he's part of the same band as Nick. And the lesbian couple that walks by have no names specified.

The pessimism in me at one point told me that Serena's shocked face in the last picture is her reaction to either getting rejected, being told that Ash isn't interested in girls, or finding out that Ash likes another girl.

Please debunk my worries.

The episode will be intertwined with Bonnie and Clemont, which is sure to be fun.

In the first image, I can't really gauge Ash's expression, but Serena is clearly surprised in the second... And... and, there's fireworks. Man, it'll suck having to wait about 3 weeks to watch this episode. And yes, I said it correctly...

And this goes a bit off-topic, but I don't mind. Someone here referred to Ash's zz's being the mark of immortality. In the first link above, they're missing. Is it an error, or the subtlest of hints?

Now, it's only a matter of days before the impending Amourgeddon. And it looks like I'm all out of pessimism for today. Regardless of that, I'm eagerly waiting for the ep to be aired

I really love this , man!!! This is undoubtedly ( in my POV ) the likeliest scenario. U pretty much nailed it bro
However, a question arises here.... Why would team rocket be after the present.. It has to be significant..... Only two possibilities come to my mind that i posted........ Ah! Here it is....

This boils it down to only 2 possibilities for the present........

1) Team rocket is after the present serena gave and they would hav no interest in chocolates, food, photo frames or lucky charms. So if they want the gift for ash , it will be a keystone.......

2) TRio wants the gift ash gave . They would hav no interest in anything ash could give her unless its a dress ( which i believe.seems to get more likely by the.moment) that serena and jessie both want and ash buys it for serena and it is the last piece and jessie insists to steal it from them because we know how obsessed she can be

I seriously think this perfectly fits with ur scenario....now only one question remains......which present did serena have at that moment......was it the one she received or was it the one she.intended to give..... Either way , one of my predictions suits the respective situation. Hope i made my point clear cus honestly im having a bit trouble.putting my thoughts into words XD.

First, thanks for the translations......
Second., man that is an amazing point. This translations gives rise to another situation:
Serena confesses( either in the monorail as both of them seem emotional in that pic or at the end aka time of last pic) and ash actually understands exactly what she means and develops feelings gradually as the series progresses and at that scene , agrees to keep her feelings a secret from everyone .

This may be a possible interpretation of the translation and even tho i doubt that this is more likely than ash giving her a present, i still acknowledge this possibility and honestly, i'd prefer ur scenario over mine but als , the writers control it in the end . Lets just wait and see

Just saw the preview, and I must be honest. Part of me can't help but believe that Ash is only in the forest in the evening because he said or did something absolutely concrete-headed that made Serena run off feeling rather miserable. I just hope something happens that makes Ash learn that it isn't easy to play the "friendzone" card.

I don't think that's it. If what you state is true, then why does he looks so fired up (assuming that's what he's feeling whenever he turn his hat backwards)? As such, he would be expressing concern or worry for Serena. But, I'd be with everyone else who state that Rocket Dan is part of this, but not because they stole a precious gift. That doesn't make any sense to steal anyone's gift, unless if it's to bait out Pikachu or other Pokemon in his roster, which, in turn, he doesn't have at that moment.

Guys, watch closely not Ash and not Serena in the picture. There is a little bond there, which means he is holding a gift, so either she gave him a gift or he geve her a gift and that's what it looks like to be about. Maybe she is blushing due to receiving a gift but that's just an idea.

I saw the preview on youtube.

This is the first time I've been left absolutely speechless ever in a Pokemon episode I think. I'm one of those that could be described as highly pessimistic about the progress of the ship, but I really don't know what to say about what I just saw. Could it really be happening? Could Amourshipping become canon?

I see this in addition to claiming my favorite ships in that other thread...this is possibly the best day I've had in the world of shipping. If this episode actually doesn't disappoint and it really is the real deal, I'll lose a lot of my pessimism about the ship's future.

Right now, and for the first time ever, I'm in full hype mode
