Amourshipping Thread V3

Nah, there's just a few people who become overly-negative in their overreactions and then it sucks others into the void. Most of us who are overly positive are just away from the thread and busy writing fanfics instead. Like me. I don't post to spread positivity because I'm too busy writing. Rest assured though, we'll have a satisfying conclusion to the subplot.

Yep. Then again, the usual crowd of people from V2 aren't as active as before, because of school and whatnot (like me!).

I've always thought it was pronounced "A-more", like s'more so that's what I've always used.

I speak a bit of Spanish, so I pronounced it with a slight Spanish accent ("si, mi amor").

Anyway, in all of this buzz about Serena4Alola, an odd thought got a hold into my head.

How do you pronounce "Amourshipping"?

More specifically, do you say A-Mor or A-mu-or or A-moor? I usually say the second one.

And don't get me started on Armour vs Amour.

The second one since it's a French word so I pronounce it how it should be. Because it's Amourshipping, not Amorshipping due to Kalos being influenced by France. Amor is Spanish.

Anyway, there are some rumors like many moons ago that an announcement for S/M anime will reveal Serena being part of the anime or something like that. Since we're gonna have a big S/M anime announcement right after her episode, people seem to assume that this would be that Serena announcement that we've all been dreaming for. For me, it does seem to add up though.

-We haven't got a full confirmation of Serena's fate even with the previews, scans, and summaries for the last set of episodes that we got so far.
-We're gonna have that Mother and daughter moment in XYZ45 which we still have to find out what it was all bout.
-Serena seems to be happy and winking in XYZ47 which looks like she has accepted something. (Remember, she winked at Ash when she accepted his invitation to travel with him)
-That shocked Lemon siblings scene.
-We only see glimpses of the S/M Anime so the writers might pull a Brock on Serena (appearing like a few episodes later) that explains her absence in the previews.
-that 'big announcement' is after Serena's episode

However, I still won't hold my breath for that 'supposed S/M Serena announcement' so I'm keeping my expectations low and set my mind that Serena's leaving so that I don't get too salty about it.

True, but you also have to realise that Spanish and French are both Romance languages, and therefore, have many linguistic similarities. Amour is similar enough to "amor".

I'm honestly not expecting anything completely groundbreaking. Call me pessimistic or whatever, but I'm not gonna hold my breath for something "kabooooooom!" to happen. Now, I'm fully expecting that Amour is gonna go semi to fully canon, but that's about it.

After the battle she knows what she wants to do. So Clemont and Bonnie probably expect her to continuing performing so if she says: 'I'm going with Palermo/I will go and train on for Kalos Queen' they won't be surprized, so I think there's more. But what? So if it's not Kalos Queen, what other goals would she have: if she says:'I'm going to Kanto with Ash' well, then they will be surprized, right? Because that's unexpected. But okay not too much hope: it even could be an early scene because they are never in chronological order and maybe she just announces she is giving a special performance, which is the most likely I think. Let me know what you think about this

Anyways, to answer your question, I always pronounced it as A-mour with Mour coming from me using the first syllable of the word mourning.

2. Then again, the previews tend to show the scenes in all sorts of un-chronological orders, so it's not surprising (for me) to see that some things are muted and cut off, while other excerpts aren't.

I never thought of it that way. Personally, I'm with lane in that I'm not expecting anything special. Besides, I'm in the camp that tthinks Serena won't appear in the early episodes.

As I said in my previous post! It's basically a way to "clickbait" (sorta not really) more viewers, because in a way, the excerpts used are the truth, but are just pieced together in different time frames.

For all we know, Serena and Amour could become canon next week, but we wouldn't know what's happening from the preview itself. As zelda said, "We'll know more next week when the episode airs."

It makes sense though, if you think about it. And we don't know if the scenes are in chronological order, which means that it could even start with the Battle and then the Performance. IDK will we get a 3rd preview?

After some research, I realized Lille is like a dandere.

By definition, a dandere character is one who is normally quiet and silent, possibly to the point of coming across as emotionless at times, but will suddenly become talkative and sweet and cute when with the right person.

So is Amourshipping really going to sink by the SM anime?

And please don't bring Lillie here. Our concern is Amour and Serena, not how another character from the SM anime will play out with Ash.

TBH i'm not exited at all about the reveals on after the episode for a simple reason. They won't show serena, they'll keep a secrete till she appears in SM, same way they didn't show in the trailers. No matter what the reveal is, even if they don't show serena, that doesen't mean it's over

"Amour" in "AmourShipping" is meant to be the French word. It's meant to be pronounced the same as it is in textbook French French. I don't know if it's different in any regional dialects.

XYZ45 is likely going to be the most important AmourShipping episode so far. It's better if we just go into it without expectations, and be blown away when it airs.

Just a quick question, but is someone hete that has followed Pokémon XY from the start, like 2013? I wonder how much hype there was when no one knew who Serena was. I just watched the XY trailer and there was not a real hype but I can imagine there was some hypr about it around XY7?
