Well....I did kinda like this episode. It was a lighthearted, comedy focused with a lot of character interactions, but at the same time, involving nothing heavily integral action or plot wise.
Misty and Brock's entry into the episode was....sort of meh and random, not being in a grand style or anything (this part I felt could've been done much better than it was). But the character interactions of the whole cast with Misty and Brock was something that definitely stood out in the whole episode. The quirks were really well depicted throughout the episode, the interactions of each of the schoolmates with Misty and Brock were really playful, cute, adorable and sometimes hilarious too, overall in a word, word, enjoyable. And what was really important that the comedy/comedic moments were handled well in this episodes, depicted in a playful and light-hearted manner via the characters and not like the extremely cringeworthy looking slapstick and buttmonkey moments like it is in the majority of the SM episodes with Ash being the center of slapstick about 90% of the time (which is just awful). And we got to see that all-time nostalgic gag of Misty carried Brock by pulling his ears when he flirted with Nurse Joy!
Although I'd have preferred nore seeing Croagunk doing that as I find way more hilarious, but Misty doing the job was also enjoyable for me since that adds some extra nostalgia factor to it.
While the character interaction moments with everyone enjoying and having fun which really adorable and enjoyable, I have to say that in terms of the actions moments, this episode was sort of underwhelming. Seeing a strongly built Trio mecha after a long time nice, but the writers were just way too much exaggerating the toughness of the mecha upto a point where itlooked illogical. Seeing the teamwork of the cast in fighting an opponent is obviously nice, but not really upto the point where the toughness of the opponent looks like forced and plot BS like it totally looked today with Trio's "God-Tier" mecha. Seriously, it takes 3 Z-moves from Pikachu, Marowak and Popplio together along with a Mega Evolved Pokemon's attack in unision to blast the mecha off??? Yeah, that part really did look BS to me. Gyarados Mega Evolution really looked shoehorned in this episode; it really looked like it wasn't necessary by any means whatsoever. They didn't really create a plausible high stake situation enough where it'd seem like that Mega Evolution was truly warranted. The action parts could've been easily handled way better I'd say.
Overall, a good episode this which I enjoyed, despite the shortcomings in the action moments of the episode I'd say that the adorable character interaction moments does make up for it. 7/10.
