An anime based Pokemon game

No not a version, but maybe a spin-off of the anime. With real time battles, ect. Maybe friendship is more vital, ect.
Maybe it is a good worth devolping?

Discuss!

Actually, that might be a good idea. It would sell well, and be very entertaining. It might even stop the "OmG, p0g33m4ns r g4y!!11!!!1" image (no offense to homosexuals. I'm just quoting a-holes) if the gameplay is good enough. Hopefully it would be based more off the original Japanese version, though, and not the dub. Maybe it would have all the seasons of the anime in it, with the major events, and some side-events, of each one. And if it was for the DS, then it would be cool to actually use voice commands. And no turn-based battles. Just running, and voice to attack (with some button-controlled ones, too). Would actually turn out pretty good.

Not a bad idea at all. Any idea is good if it means new games. lol.

Voice recnognition will not work. Simply for two reasons:

1.) The Mic can litterally mistake Earthqauke for Surf

2.) They would need to progarm two langauges.

I thought this might be fun, since real-time Pokemon battles would be fun (just turnbased are better :D)

It could be a good idea. However, the only way I could see this ever happening is if the game was an MMORPG.

I believe this is true, that way you wouldnt have a computer programed rival/enemy it would make the game more realistic, fighting people who can actually "think" (hopefully) that way the game would be more in like the anime style battle... w/e just my opinion...

Nice idea man! Maybe you could control the Pokemojn from first person while in a battle, and you have like A,B,X and Y for attacks. You could have more than four, and change them around with the menu. Well, that's if they actually do it for DS.

There already is an anime based Pokémon game: Yellow. It doesn't have real-time fights and it isn't purely the anime, but it is based on the anime.

And why would that sale well? It was the anime that gave Pokémon the "kiddy" look. It was the anime that scared most people away. So why would that attract all those people who think Pokémon is too kiddy?

Now, a MMORPG with real time battles, that might work. But not if it is based completely on the anime. And also none of this "friendship" crap. If Pokémon were truelly your friends, you wouldn't make them battle.
Just do a game that has towns and characters simular to G/S/C, but make it 3-D and real time. Just not if it is based on the anime.

EDIT: beat me to it.

Yellow version was totally anime-based. The real-time battles would be ok, but that would take-away the classic rpg style that the series has always had. Battles will be less strategy--more super smash brothers-esque.

They should make a Pokemon fighting game for the Wii. You upload your Pokes from the GBA/DS, and then have them duke it out Tekken-style. A, B, X, and Y would be their four attacks.

Friendship is really only there for Return and it just gets in the way of trading between your carts. :(

I guess it couldn't be too bad, but I don't see how it would work. There would need to be a LOT of disc/cartridge space for a real-time battle system, considering they have to program in all the attack animations for all the hundreds of Pokemon. Some Pokemon would be pretty hard to control as well.

IMO, Yellow was good enough, but I would have liked to see some more anime similarities.

The only problem is simply that it is too close to RB rather then the anime. Pikachu, Team Rocket, and what else? Nothing.

I wouldn't really like that because everything would be wierd. What I mean is it would get annoying if you had a Rhydon and you opponent a Pikachu, and he magically beat you through "friendship" or whatever. Yes, I watch the Anime and enjoy it, but that kind of stuff is really annoying. It should just be more realistic.

I'm pretty sure - at least I'm hoping - that there wouldn't be any instances of "Aim for the horn!" Types would still come into play if they do follow through with this idea.

Yes, Yellow was nice, but just two small changes doesn't make for interest.

It's a good idea, but there are too many holes in the planning stages. The mic for voice-activation, the space for data for real-time battles, and the lack of interest on the older demographic of Pokémon fans.

good idea. there should be 3 games, following Ashes adventures in kanto, jotoh, and hoenn. THe beginning of tha game should be like the first episode where ash gets pikachu from Prof. Oak. but instead of his regular clothes he should have the red clothes like in the games
