The best thing I could remember from this episode is the Noibat evolution into Noivern. It was nice to see Hawlucha score a High Jump Kick on Zapdos but unfortunately its overconfidence made it get hit by Zapdos's Thunderbolt. Talonflame unfortunately wasn't as strong as usual and I found it pretty similar to the Moltres episode with the similar terrain, evolution of one of Ash's Flying Pokémon and the appearance of one of the Kanto Legendary birds.

I really liked this episode, I thought it was a great episode for Noibat's evolution. And it was great to see Zapdos again.

I commend Onbat for finally being useful and evolving, although Thunder's role seemed moot. Onbat could've evolved under any other circumstance.

Since Noivern happens to be one of my favorite Pokemon, I was really happy when Noibat evolved. While Noivern is an excellent Pokemon, it's still unfortunately going to give Ash a hard time against certain types that most of his team is weak to.

I was worried about that as well, but Onvern didn't get that many battles after evolving anyway, so my concerns about him doing poorly in battles didn't exactly come to fruition.

Probably my favorite XYZ episode besides the Flare conclusion episode and Ash vs Sawyer. Loved seeing my favorite Pokémon on Ash's Kalos team get a moment to shine.
