An odd trend with DS games

Okay if you go to Nintendo.com, almost all of the upcoming DS games are Multiplayer. So I thought: "Does this mean that Multiplayer will become a standard now." For a long time, the idea of Multiplayer has been increasing over the years, but is this going to be a time where all games are going to be mulitplayer.
