Anabel and Lucy's spots in the anime.

May as well get it overwith, now we all know Anabel totally dominated Ash recently in the show, but i know for a fact that most of you prefere Lucy over Anabel, now my question is should Anabel have been used earlier and lost to Ash while Lucy dominated him, or do you think it is good the way it is.

Either way is not really much different other than people's personal interests and opinions, so the way it is works for me.

It's fine the way it is. Anabel is very important. In fact, all canon has her as the second-best or the best Frontier Brain, as far as battling skills go. If Ash had to lose against anyone, it was Anabel, Spenser or Brandon. They're certainly the "best" Brains, per se.

Lucy is just eyecandy... and well. As far as the games go, she was painfully easy. Even unable to beat me with my entire Team asleep.

I agree with Orion. So what if Azami has more fanboys? I don't mean that to be taken rudely, but the fact of the matter is that Lila is suppose to be really strong. To make her weak just for more Azami? Not exactly fair...not to mention if Azami was *that* important, they could've spared us some of those filler episodes.

At first I didn't care for the way they did it, but now I like it that Ash lost to Anabel.

Besides being a "real" psychic trainer, she's one of those trainers where appearances can be deceiving. Everyone thought she was a boy when they first saw her (LOL), and the fact that she's extremely powerful for a girl who seems no older than Ash.

Ash and Anabel get along real well too, it's kind of sweet.

Lucy on the other hand should return for the sole sake of getting Brock laid. C'mon, that guy deserves it after all these years, just get him and Lucy into a closet somewhere and let them screw each others brains out.

I know I'm biased, but Anabel should really have been the top Brain, Brandon second. But I guess it's a given the way it is, since Brandon is billed as a 'man among men' in the game. I do doubt you'll see Brandon telepathically talking to Pokémon, though.

But i definetly have to agree with cyber, Ash losing to Anabel wasn't bad at all, she really is a great trainer and the cooperation with her pokemon is great. Dont get me wrong its not like im saying that i like anabel more then lucy or vice versa but its just that lucy was a regular lady who had nice pokemon and ash beat her. It would've been stupid if ash lost to her. Now on the other hand for ash to lose to Anabel does make sense, she does train psychic pokemon who are considered to be elites by many people and besides its hard to battle someone who is communicating telepathically with her pokemon and u have no idea what attack is going to be used, its damn hard to put a defense up to that.

I do doubt you'll see Brandon telepathically talking to Pokémon, though.

There's a better chance of Brandon ripping off a mask and revealing that he's really Magneto, who will weld Registeel into a giant harpoon and spear Pikachu on a cutlet. Then feed it to his pet Raticate. ^_^

On the topic, the way they structured it was fine. However, Lucy probably should have gotten 2 episodes instead of one.

I think all the brains should've gotten two episodes to be honest. It's like we had it that way through all of Houen and suddenly ditched it...which makes no sense since D/P aren't suppose to come out for awhile.

Lucy's purty, but the game does say Anabel is tough as nails. At least they did something remotely close to what the BF was supposed to be. >.>;;
