Angels in the Orchard

Drop the ball of light
Let it roll on through the hall
Follow it wherever it goes
Heed its lonely call

It will lead you to a doorway
Open it and you will unearth
A land so lush and full of life
Beauty sprinkled with mirth

There are angels in the orchard
Bees buzz merrily in the hive
The water sprites will show the way
The trees, they are alive

The weather's fair and kindly
The animals will do you no harm
Instead they plead, have tea with them
And entertain you with their charm

The centaurs are so very proud
But pleasant none the less
The churches are all empty
For there’s nothing to confess

There are angels in the orchard
Unicorns march along
The elves go on chanting of the past
As the dwarves hum a working song

They take you there into their homes
There is nothing that you lack
You remember that land where you once lived
And know you’ll never go back

There are angels in the orchard
Bees buzz merrily in the hive
The water sprites will show the way
The trees, they are alive
