Okay, I saw something weird today. There was a cop, and on his cap, rather than the usual badge thing that's attached, it had a flat metal plate like that of Forehead Protectors, but bore the Emblem of the Police.

I thought it was a coincidence at first, until I saw others wearing the exact same thing. When I asked them why they had those on, they just said that "It was inspired by 'something'".

It seems to me that those new Polce Hats were based purely on the Naruto Forehead Protectors. Never before have I seen Animé affect general non-Animé Fans in real life like that.

So, has such similar phenomena happened to any of you guys before?

UN-LTD AWESOME WORKS
I simply refuse to believe that without photographic proof, thank you very much.

Me?? Nothing in anime has affected real life for me, which is the way it should be.

Anime affects my life...simply in that I really enjoy it and I make it a big part of my life...have I seen anything in the way of anime affecting non-anime fans? No, not really.

Ridley-X4: What reason would he possibly have for lying about something like that?

Yep, anime affects my life. I have spent far too much money on DVDs, soundtracks, figures, and so on. And I get in arguements with Otakon staffers for running the convention in idiotic ways. Ah well.

...I need to find some more anime pictures to hang up in my cubicle. :D

Anime affecting real life? It depends, usually, Anime does pick up things in real life, so it should be of the opposite... =P

Anyways, Anime does affect some kids... like they start to dress and act like their own favorite anime characters... I also happen to do that sometimes, when I was younger... XD

Do dreams count? If so, I've had dreams of a proper Sailor Moon ressurection.

I buy Sailormoon cels(and I'll drop a lot of cash depending on the scene and the condition of the cel). That's about the extent that anime effects me.

Anime made me change so many of my views and more aware when it came to methods of storytelling, culture, manipulation of the masses to buy merchandise, and also my outlooks and beliefs on lifes and ethics.

Then again, manga, live-action movies, and music have done the same thing, so... Well, it all comes together in some way.

The manga of Berserk and the anime of Neon Genesis Evangelion and its movie, Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion still have affected me the greatest out of all the anime and manga that I've come across, if you didn't already know.

I've also grown to pursue a potential career in writing since then, oddly enough...

Anime affected my life as soon as I got accepted to intern at TokyoPop in Los Angeles. I guess. Otherwise I wouldn't have met Ron, the big man there, whom I almost gave a hug to on my last day... which in turn could've led to an early pre-mature death. See how it all works? :p
Oh, and it re-fueled my interest in animation, which led me to taking up animation in college. :D

Yeah... I now say "dattebayo" when something gets me all excited >P And sometimes a Naruto character will show up in one of my dreams, but then again, all kinds of characters show up there...

...The whole notion that muscled men have spiky hair is engraved in the minds of every guy my age thanks to the ridiculously huge Dragonball fad six years ago or so, but they have stopped relating it to the series itself for a long time.

...Aside from that I can´t think of anything.
