How to make a poll
What is a poll?
Polls are simply questions asking for your opinion. There is barely, if any, discussion going on at all. Vote, and briefly state how you feel about the topic / why you voted for what you did. That's really all there is to it. Pretty easy, right?
Some common examples of polls include...
Who is your favorite character?
What is your favorite episode?
Your thoughts about a certain character and/or pokémon, etc
Things like that. Almost anything with a question mark at the end or that starts off with "Your thoughts..." "What do you think..." "How do you feel about..." "What if..." etc.
What is not a poll
Okay, so not everything with a question mark at the end can be considered a poll. Anything that does not ask for the opinion of others (instead, it is asking for facts) is not a poll. Some examples can be found below.
These are not polls
A question about the animé in general. Things like what happened in a certain episode, x-pokemon vs. x-pokemon / who would win, when did Ash catch x-pokémon, what attack did x-pokémon use in an episode, who won x-contest, etc.
If you feel like you're still unsure about polls after reading through this, PM me your poll idea and I'll let you know if it is okay to post it here.
Rules
This is not a discussion forum, so the rules are going to be a little more lenient here than they are in the General Discussion and Spoilers forums.
However, all SPPf rules still apply.
1. In 2-3 sentences (this does not include your question), explain your poll. Basically, why you felt the need to ask your question. Not really asking for much, and shouldn't be hard to do.
2. If your poll contains spoilers, put a spoiler warning in the title. For more information regarding spoilers, go here.
3. Do not spam. Yes, this is a polls forum, but there's no reason why you can't explain in 2-3 sentences why you feel the way you do / why you voted for what you did. Failure to do this will result in 3 point spam infraction.
4. Respect other people's opinions. This should be common sense, but there are still some people who don't seem to understand this. Bashing of any sort will not be tolerated, and you will be infracted three points for flaming/insulting.
5. This is not a debate forum. It is a place for people to express their feelings and thoughts freely without fear of someone telling them they are wrong, no matter how ridiculous you may find their views. Do not reply to someone telling them they are wrong. You will just be infracted for spam without any warning whatsoever.
