Animal Crossing on Gamecube or DS?

What version of AC do you like better?

I like the Gamecube version alot more because the DS one gets boring very fast while I can play AC on Gamecube for hours. I also like the actual holidays better then the made up DS ones.

O hai you guysh !
I prefer Wild World, personally.

It's a lot more fun, and a lot of it is upgraded from the Gamecube anyway.

Wild World has more features, but its fun also died after a little over a week of playing it, whereas it took forever for that to happen for the GCN version.

Tons of other people, including myself, also have a mansion and Nookington's, so you are not the best.

I don't since I can barely play the DS version for 1/2 an hour b4 I get bored. I the GC version though I have all the upgrades on the house and Tom Nooks. Also another feature I don't like is the sphere shaped world the DS town is on. I find it annoying and wierd how your person stays in the same spot but the world turns when you walk.

I dunno lol
Well, it really depends. Personally, I like the Gamecube version....But that might be because Wild World makes me dizzy. X_x

It depends on what you like.

Wild World:

  • Portability
  • Wi-fi
  • Different features like making constellations
  • Somewhat of a lower replay value (in my eyes)
  • Most features of the original; some being improved
  • Customizable hat (FINALLY)

Animal Crossing:

  • Not dizzying
  • Somewhat of a longer replay value
  • Seemingly more to do
  • Nice, big screen
  • Better graphics (by just a tad)
  • Can have as many files as you want depending on your amount of memory cards

Hmm.I couldn't think of much for the original. Still, I like the original while some other people like Wild World.

w00t original AC!

...And WW does get boring...:(

I hate them both, send them to hell. Now.

If you hated the first one, what makes you think the second one would be any better?

I liked both games, they're pretty much the same.

With Action Amusing!
When I first started playing WW I didn't like it as much as the GC version, probably because of the way the world wasn't split up into sections, I think that made it a lot easier for the sake of keeping the town comfortable with trees and fishing, I spent many an hour just going backwards and forwards in and out of the same square to find those elusive fishies!

WW has grown on me now, and I'm accepting it for it's new features such as accessories to wear, more things to catch, oh and of course the wonders of Wi Fi. I do miss all the holidays though, I loved Haloween and looking for the reindeer on Christmas eve on the GC version.

There's certain things that I like better in each version. One of the main reasons that I think GCN comes close to WW IMO is for the zones. I was quite shocked when I found out that WW didn't have zones. But besides that, Holidays, and NES games, I think that WW has the edge. The graphics on the DS look the same, if not better than the one on GCN. It just feels like Wild World also has alot more to do.

I agree, but now that I think about it, GC had a certain charm that WW didn't, I cant put my finger on it.

No, quite frankly I'm the best, cuz I'm a hacker ;). Yeah, I can't hack much anymore, but still have most of my hacked crap, and cash...

Meh, there are lots of hackers in the sea, so I geuss I can't quite say that. Though I do enjoy having the stuff.

Anyway, I prefer ACWW more, because I can visit my buddies over WiFi and make my house more of a, cozy place.

Thank you, SPPf! :)
Gamecube version. While I love both, the GC version had an infinitely superior soundtrack, the NES games, and let's face it - Nintendo's WiFi system sucks.

I have both of them. The second one is a definate improvement with more accesories (helmets, glasses, wigs and hats), easier access to foreign fruits and items and the addition of an actual sky with constellations and the slingshot. And WiFi makes it even better. And they ripped out the jerk everytime you walk from one area to another, that had to be one of the most annoying features in the GC version, thank god it's gone.

But still, send them both to hell.

I've never played Wild World, but currently, the original is $20 because it is Player's Choice. On top of that, it's got NES games in it, which you can get with Action Replay. So the true question is, do you plan to play multiplayer if you get Wild World, or do you want the cheaper original which has probably as good of a 1 player experience?

At the start, WW shocked me a bit because you couldn't actually straight out ask for work. But it's held my attention for much longer than the GC version, mainly because of the pictures. Though, I have to admit, I did get bored of it for a while. 4 weeks, then 2 weeks.
