Animals that aren't Pokémon yet v3

My previous ideas..

Some new ones..

-The next inevitable Electric Rodent/Pikaclone should be a hamster or a gerbil. Maybe with a more "raichu-like-tough" evolution.
- Pachirisu should evolve into a Flying Squirrel. Electric/Flying obviously.
- I'd like a Cougar that could evolve into a bigger cat, like maybe a Jaguar or Panther.
- A Smilodon AKA Sabertooth Tiger, I know we have Raikou already, but thats up to debate. But an actual one that was Ice/Dark or Ice/Normal would be awesome.
-A Dark Hyena Pokemon.
- A Spider Monkey that evolves to a Chimp, that then evolves into a Gorilla. I know we have a Monkey (Aipom, Infernape) and a Gorillaish pokemon (Slaking), as well as a chimp(chimchar).
- A duck that evolves into a Swan makes sense.
-A Stork

I'll think of other stuff later.

The Dark Hyena Pokemon is Mightyena.

Truly Deceptive

It is I: ME!
i think they should create one like a snow leapard. it would be ice type, and fast with good attack

It's called Glaceon, DUH, genius!

Edit: And Shinx, as in SHINING LYNX. Still, there's also teh ostrich.

looks too much like a wolf now.

It doesn't look any more like a wolf than an actual hyena does. Mightyena has the upright neck, the snout, the scruffy mane of hair on the neck and back and the longer, fluffier tail, all of which mark it as a hyena.

Glaceon is not a snow leopard. You're not going to start claiming Arceus is 100% goat next, are you?

Edit: And Shinx, as in SHINING LYNX.

Names =/= origins, particularly English names. And what if the etymology comes from "sphinx", which is mythically part lion, instead?

Again, the Shinx line is primarily lion with maybe traces of a few other big cats mixed in.

While I agree that Hyena's do look like wolves and vice versa I'll explain what I mean by more hyena looking.

In this picture of a hyena (and many others on Google) you can see that Hyena's have a very developed chest and a long neck, probably for scavenging purposes. Now if you look at a wolf http://www.billybear4kids.com/animal/whose-toes/wolf/WolfStanding.jpg it has a shorter neck and a more balanced body than a hyena.
Now Mightyena http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/v2dex011.gif Has the same kind of short neck and balanced body that a wolf has, with the ears and face of a hyena. If anything it is based off both of those animals with pokemon twists added in. I'm not doubting it is a hyena, I just think it has alot of wolf like qualities too it. I'd like to see it evolve into a more Hyena-like pokemon with the longer neck and overdeveloped chest. Perhaps giving it another type as well.

my ideas/candidate

1.Centepide: no im not counting Giratina,i believe a centipede pokemon should be Poison/Bug type and a branch evolve to a Bug/Steel one.(i have a phobia on these things)

2.Bald Edge: as a 3 stage regional bird pokemon similar to Pidgey and Starly rather than Hoothoot and Swellow.

3.Polar Bear: Unlike Ursaring make it a 4 leg walking pokemon being pure Ice ot Ice/Normal Type.

4.Sword Fish:well im surprised we dont have one aredy

5.North American Raccoon: as a regional Rodent like Rattata,Zigzagoon, ect.

6.Sand Worm:well doest every RPG have one of these?

7.Komodo Dragon:well this animal is pretty awesome looking, maybe make it a starter or a pseudo-legendary.

I'd like to a see a dog pokemon.

Smeargle doesn't count in my book because it's just too wierd to be a 'dog'. I'd like to see a normal-type Beagle, Basset Hound, Labrador, e.t.c. created. Maybe make a chihuahua and give it hyper voice. Heh.

But more relevant to the topic would be the lack of a dolphin pokemon. I know its already been suggested, but it makes a lot of sense. Water/Psychic would probably be the type.

I don't believe we have any termites. Bug/Ground? Bug/Dark?

What about that fish that swims up peestreams into people's penises? That'd be a fun one. Probably Water/Dark, or just plain Dark.

Maybe I'm drawing a blank here, but I don't think there's been a vulture pokemon yet. I wouldn't mind another Flying/Dark type around.

Okay- Next time, lets try using a picture of the right species of Hyena and also use one that isn't running and lurching forward. =/

They are Brown Hyena. Lets try pictures, shall we?

Adult Brown Hyena.

Better? Why yes, yes it is. Oh, and look at the legs! They have practically the same positioning! And the hair and colors too! Ghasp!

WHOA!! I think you should be more sarcastic!! You clearly aren't being sarcastic enough!!!!!!!11one
I don't need all the sass. A simple explanation is enough. My fault for thinking of the Lion King when I think of Hyenas. I am sorry to upset the Hyena specialist of these forums. The Lion King features the spotted Hyena, which is the same one I posted a picture of that was "lurching forward". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spotted_hyena
Is it too much to ask that maybe they give Mightyena a much needed evolution into a spotted Hyena? No I don't think it is. They've had a remora evolve into a octopus and a carp evolve into a dragon, so I don't think its asking to much for one species to evolve into a similar species.
Why must people be so difficult on these forums lately? sheesh.

Growlithe is a dog.
That fish would be classified as the Pervert Pokemon. It could be called Pervish.

Raccoons aren't rodents. The proper term is "regional mammal," seeing as the only ones that are actually rodents are Rattata and Bidoof.

1. Yeah, actually he is. He's my twin brother. Other than our beliefs as to what Pokemon are based on, though, we're nothing alike. Just like my BFF and his twin brother!
2. True that.
It's called Glaceon, DUH, genius!

1. True that.
2. Shining + Sphinx = Shinx
saaaaabertooth tiger

Raaaaaaikou!
An emu or rhea or a brancasouras you know the dinasour with the long neck
I think you mean Brachiosaurus. Meganium is a Brachiosaurus, I think, but it could be another sauropod.
Dude, I don't disagree with Entei being a lion, but Shinx and evos are lynxes (cougar, panther, mountain lion, puma)

Edit: Anyways, there's the barnacle, the ant/fire ant (I can't believe no one thought of that yet!), the worm, the echidna, the koala, the dingo, the newt, the flounder, the falcon, and for fossils the seymouria, velociraptor (which were really incredibly small), and the archaeopteryx.
Lynxes aren't the same as cougars, panthers, mountain lions, and pumas. They're something completely different. Shinx and its evos are lions. They have the manes and everything. The manes are even shorter in females. Shinx is a cub and doesn't have much of a mane, if that's why you think they're lynxes.

lama, camual, dilphin. TURKEY

PUMA!!!

Are you trying to say "llama, camel, dolphin"?

Camel is covered, for the record. There's also some llama in Arceus, largely in the longer legs, the elongated, upright neck, the pointed ears and the tail.
