Animated Legacy Tournament

[Blue Harvest]

Do you want to be the very best? Like no one ever was?

Well its time to prove that you have what it takes to be a Pokemon Master.

The rules are simple. 3vs3 battles, standard Smogon rules with a few minor exceptions (explained later). However what makes this different from other tournaments is you must play as a character from the Pokemon Anime. You know.. Ash, Brock, Misty etc.. but don't forget the hundreds of minor characters!

To enter you must choose an anime character found here (if you can find a character on Bulbapedia that's fine too, just link it here). Serebii has each character's current team listed. You may use any Pokemon that player has barring any banned in standard BW OU. For all intents and purposes "multi" characters like the Kimono sisters, Misty's sisters, Nurse Joys and so on are counted as one entity.​

Pokes you may use:
~Pokemon currently on the player's team or in active rotation. (Ash's Pikachu)
~Pokemon that are currently at "Oak's Lab". (Ash's Muk)
~Pokemon that can "be called upon" (Ash's Charizard)

Pokemon you may NOT use:
~Pokemon that were released, traded or in some way is gone forever. (Ash's Lapras)
~Pokemon that have evolved into something else (Ash's Starly)

3 vs 3 battles.
Yeah, sorry. Most anime characters have 4 Pokemon tops and even more lack a single fully evolved thing. 3 vs 3 makes more characters viable and prevents Gary from just steamrolling through everything.

~Limited Species Clause
You may use as many of a Pokemon as the character has. You may use 3 Tauros as Ash, but only one Pikachu.

~NO Wifi Clause
Team preview is NOT on. Your Pokemon will be hidden until revealed, like in the Anime.

~OHKO and Evasion moves are NOT BANNED in spirit of the animated TV show.
So yeah, Horn Drill Rhydon. Double Team Scyther.

To enter just post saying so and clearly state which character you want to represent. You may change teams freely between battles but you are stuck with the character you pick once the tournament begins. You are only restricted based on Pokemon.. you are free to use any movesets, natures, abilities and items you wish.

Entry will start with 16 participants but will be increased if enough people sign up.
