Anime Character BIOs: New or Old?

Hey guys

Today, I decided to start an overhaul of the Character BIOs. I've recruited Edward Elric to help with the majority of the minor characters so that every character with a Pokémon has a BIO. I'm even going to sort the categories out to be:

Main Characters
Secondary Chars
Rivals
Gym Leaders
Elite Four
Indigo Minor Chars
Orange Minor Chars
Johto Minor Chars
Hoenn Minor Chars
BF Minor Chars

But thats neither here nor there atm, Ed's startin them today and it will take a while but I would like your opinion. I spent about an hour (I'm bored...sue me) writing descriptions and all that. So here we go

New Bios>Old Bios. These new ones are much more detailed, and we actually get a bio, instead of just a list of Pokemon. Keep up the good work, Serebii and Ed.

I love the new one. Summaries of the pokemon and the trainer = Beautiful. It'll take a lot of work though, especially if your going to do that with every character that's ever had a pokemon.

I like the way you're sorting the minor characters into regions. Easier to navigate.

As for suggestions, I was actually only expecting the pictures to be updated. So I was rather overwhelmed at how much your actually doing, so no suggestions, job well done.

Well recently i've been viewing parts of the site and they look out of date and are uggggggggly

So from now on I'm using a proper style for the site, making things actually look good and professional. I've given Ed the template so he should follow the same stuff but the more vsited ones will be done by me. Yay

This is just a small thing I'll be doing when i'm bored through summer and I'm not out which isnt going to be often. However most of the people I'm doing dont have as many Pokémon as Ash so *shrugs*

Finished Ash's one...may do a few more tomorrow but meh, got more pressing things to do

I personally favor the new ones, because they're much more detailed, and provide superior content.
Anyway, as far as the "out-of-date and ugly" part goes, yeah, I've been meaning to ask you about some of those. Such as how some of the old games pages are kind of...What's the word? Blech?
After you and EE finish the Bios, it would probably be wise to consider revamping the old pages or having someone submit content that would take the place of the old content. Perhaps a contest of sorts? <=o

This is all part of a project im doing to rennovate the more important areas...chances are im not going to go back and do the old games however

But would you have a willing member of your staff or of your forums write material for you? People want up to the minute information, and, quite frankly, those pages are subpar, in comparison to some other pages. It looks like you're letting one section slide, and some strict "e-critics", if you will, may think that this is what you will let happen to the rest of your site.

Its not really a main focus, its just a gratuitous something...it's not necessary. The stuff that most people care about is the current...and that is what im sorting it

The new bios are WAY much better. Having summaries are really giving it the feel of a bio and not just a list of the trainer's Pokemon. Good work and keep it up!

I see. Oh, well, it was worth a try. Anyway, the bio looks superb, but there's a mistake on Charmeleon's subsection. It says "after charmeleon evolved", but I'm pretty sure you meant to say "after Charmander evolved". First sentence, by the way.

Also get better pictures of the characters. Those horrible low-res Misty images aren't cutting it. A lot of the pictures seem fuzzy for some of the older characters, might be a good idea to replace them with better shots.

These are MUCH better. I've always found that the current bios weren't very informative, and if you were new to the anime the bios wouldn't be much help.

I would definately use these bios more if they were like this.

This new bios are better than the old ones, and it would be easier to navigate the new style

You should make a section for the league oppennents(sp?)

Make a Mondo bio.He had a Ditto/Metamon.
