Another RMT. (Breaking Moment)

Discussion in 'Older Gen RMT' started by UsernameSayWha?, May 12, 2011.

  1. UsernameSayWha?

    UsernameSayWha? Hates Hidden Power

I was reading a RMT and I saw an amazing strategy involving Shell Smash. I didn't want to copy the whole strategy from the guy so I didn't use the Shell Smasher he was using. So out of the Pokemon that know it, I chose... CLOYSTER!

Then the other Pokemon needed to be able to know Daul Screens and Momento. So I chose... Well not really chose just saw... UXIE!
    ;091; ;480;

Then something to cover Cloysters weaknesses. Which are Fighting, Grass, Electric, and Rock. So the Perfect counter to those types are... GLISCOR!
    ;091; ;480; ;472;

The rest played itself out. I needed a Revenge Killer. So the most common one this Gen... HYDREIGON!
    ;091; ;480; ;472; :635:

If Cloyster goes down this guy is more or less my back up sweeper. He is... INFERNAPE!
    ;091; ;480; ;472; :635: ;392;

I needed a Lead so I chose... MEINSHAO!
    ;091; ;480; ;472; :635: ;392; :620:

Thats the Preview. By the way, You Smell Nice.

    Meinshao @ Life Orb
    Ability: Regenerator
    EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 Hp
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
    - Fake Out
    - U-Turn
    - High Jump Kick
    - Stone Edge

ITS ANTI-LEAD MEINSHAO! RUN! Fake Out to break Sashes, HJK gets STAB, Stone Edge for Flyers, and U-Turn to get out of there and pairs perfectly with Regenerator. Life Orb because of Regenerator.

    Uxie @ Light Clay
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 Spd/252 HP/4 SDef
    Nature: Jolly/Timid
    - Light Screen
    - Reflect
    - Momento
    - Rest

The Cloyster set up. Use Light Screen or Reflect on first turn depending on the Pokemon thats in against Uxie, then use the screen that you didn't use the turn before and Momento the Pokemon. Rest is there mainly for filler and recovery. EVs and Nature for max speed and Max HP.
    Cloyster @ White Herb
    Ability: Skill Link
    EVs: 252 Spd/252 Atk/4 Hp
    Nature: Jolly
    - Shell Smash
    - Icicle Spear
    - Rock Blast
    - Razor Shell

This goes in after Uxie. The opponent will switch, or stay in and get walled. which either way means... SHELL SMASH! Icicle Spear for STAB and MAYHEM. Rock Blast for coverage and MAYHEM. Ice Shard for priority and a little bit of MAYHEM. White Herb so I have Macho Defenses with Screens up.

    Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk/4 HP
    Nature: Timid
    - Draco Meteor
    - Flamethrower
    - Surf
    - Dark Pulse

Revenge is sweet with a super cool Dragon doing it. Draco Meteor for any late game sweepers that are usualy Dragons. Flamethrower and Surf for Coverage. Dark Pulse for STAB.

    Infernape @ Expert Belt
    Ability: Blaze
    EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 Hp
    Nature: Jolly
    - Swords Dance
    - Flare Blitz
    - Close Combat
    - Stone Edge

Switch into a Check, and Swords Dance on the Switch. And then... Mayhem. No. Not MAYHEM! Mayhem. Flare Blitz and Close Combat for STAB, Stone Edge for coverage. Expert Belt because Infernape already takes enough recoil.

    Gliscor @ Flying Gem
    Ability: Sand Veil/Hyper Cutter
    EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 Hp
    Nature: Jolly
    - Acrobatics
    - Earthquake
    - Stone Edge
    - U-turn

Acrocor! Thats my name for him. Flying Gem and Acrobatics equals, 0HKOs for most of the Metagame. And covers Cloysters weaknesses. Earthquake for STAB. And to cover Cloysters weaknesses. Stone Edge to terminate slow Ice types. U-turn to get a switch and terminate! Sorta. Sand Veil or Hyper Cutter. Dosen't matter.

Well. Hope you like team Breaking Moment! Full Credit to the creator of this strategy.

    darkrai's_shadow Fear of the Dark!

hey, dude, dont double/triple post, just wait, and someone will come and post something (like me, [arent i sweet? :)])
to do the hydreigon picture, you have to use :enter number: for unova pokemon, like so: :635:
good team, but here are some suggestions, uxie is MAJOR taunt bait, and cloyster wont be able to hurt steel types that dont get neutral damage to icicle spear or rock blast, maybe switch ice shard for razor shell, that way you have another stab move (i know rock blast is better, but its mainly to hit steels that the other two moves wont hit, as stated earlier) mostly looking at heatran

    kingflygon The Flygons Are Here

i didnt steal it i bet you to it
EDIT: well now he has three replys but my replys are usless

    UsernameSayWha? Hates Hidden Power

O.k. I deleted one of the posts. I switched to Razor Shell. I was using Ice Shard because of priority Breloom/Conkeldurr but I realized with the White Herb and Reflect and Cloysters crazy defense, I don't need it.

  8. UsernameSayWha?

    UsernameSayWha? Hates Hidden Power

    Any more advice?
  9. darkrai's_shadow

    darkrai's_shadow Fear of the Dark!

maybe try earth power on hydreigon instead of dark pulse? idk, it adds more coverage (against what? especially with it having surf and flamethrower? uh......)
  10. UsernameSayWha?

    UsernameSayWha? Hates Hidden Power

Does the lack of Advice mean this team is good?
  11. Assassin9399

    Assassin9399 Wanna hug?

Dark pulse covers ghosts and Psychics, so stay with it, it's a stab move.
Also, you might want Dragon Pulse instead of Draco Meteor, so you can give Hydreigon a Life Orb to boost his power.
  12. UsernameSayWha?

    UsernameSayWha? Hates Hidden Power

I can't go with the Life Orb because he's a Revenge Killer.
  13. darkrai's_shadow

    darkrai's_shadow Fear of the Dark!

yeah, it isnt fast enough without the scarf to outrun common sweepers, so stick with it
  14. kingflygon

    kingflygon The Flygons Are Here

the lack of advise from me is that i cant think off anything at the moment

    cheeselord Largely Inactive

Lol, don't miss and hurt your self! Any way, I would use psychic/shock over rest on uxie because if he gets taunted... Bad news.
  17. I would really switch gliscor to a poison heal varient..
    Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
    Poison Heal
    Jolly, 252 Attack + Speed, 4 HP

Use Protect to activate poison heal, fling your toxic orb to poison walls like Hippowdon and Gyardos, and kill everything with STAB 110 Base Power Acrobatics or STAB EQ.
  18. UsernameSayWha?

    UsernameSayWha? Hates Hidden Power

Cheeselord: I know. I just put Rest there because I don't have a certain natured Uxie yet. (Looking for Timid, but, ya know. Already caught both in Diamond and Platinum.)

    Weaviledarkrai: Too predictable. Period.
  19. Plasma Ice

    Plasma Ice Poke Master

With your hydreigon you need to have this:

Hydregon@ Chople Berry (Counter for Focus Blast)
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 Spd/252 Sp. Atk/4 HP

Dragon Pulse (Nice strong STAB move)
Dark Pulse (STAB move for ghost psychic coverage)
    Tri Attack (All round coverage)
Flamethrower (Coverage for grass types that threaten cloyster)
