Anti Elite-4 ver.1

This team is going to be going up against the first version of the elite 4. Eventually, it'll get revised after I get past them and gain access to the other islands. I'm pretty sure this team will beat the Elite 4 with no problem, and I'm not even on Victory Road yet. -Edit- Sorry, forgot to mention that this team is on Leaf Green

The last pokemon will be a Haunter (since I don't have access to trading at the moment), but I need to catch a good Gastly first. Any suggestions or pointers would be useful if you have the time. Thanks.

I suggest training Weezing until it learns Sludge Bomb. Rock Blast-->Rock Slide, Take Down-->Double-Edge for Rhydon. Replace Ninetales' Quick Attack with some stronger normal attack. Razor Leaf-->Giga Drain, Strength-->Toxic. As for the haunter, give it Hypnosis, Shadow Ball, Psychic, and Destiny Bond.

Hope this all helps!:)

I suggest training them to at least Lv. 55 each, just to be safe.

Um... Weezing doesn't learn Sludge Bomb on it's own. Either I breed that move onto it from a Grimer/Muk, or I have to use the TM that I can only get -after- beating the Elite 4. And I'm going to save the Rock Slide tutor for a while longer, though normally I'd definitely agree with that route. Double-Edge, same thing. Giga Drain on Venusaur, I like that idea. Toxic, though, I'm not going to put on 'im. I'll save that a while longer, too.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking level 55 anyway before the Elite 4, though I know that I could beat them at this point with what I've got.

Well, actually, Toxic is good for the draining type Venusaur....

I'm actually trying to save my one-use TMs and Tutor moves for my finalized team after the Elite 4. Venusaur might not even be in my finalized team, but I might find a pokemon that will be and could use Toxic better when involved in the team itself. At least, this Venusaur won't be. It's not EV trained after all. The only ones I've EV trained much would be Lapras, Ninetales, and Pidgeot. I'm working on Haunter right now as well, while increasing its level.

I'd probably replace Growth with Sleep Powder, actually. Since I don't have access to a Sludge Bomb TM yet to take advantage of that STAB Venusaur would get with a poison attack, I think a decent (sorta) attack like Strength is okay for now.
