Any way to lock certain applications/programs?

Not using a built-in function in Windows. There's probably an application that can do something like that, I'd advise googling it.

If you're using a Mac, you could activate Parental Controls on your account so you'd need to enter the administrator password every time they tried to open specific applications.

But even if they did that, how would it let one program work while having another need a password? Would you be able to set a parantal lock on specific programs while having the others stay normal? *Doesn't have a Mac*

There is a way, but it's complicated and you'll probably mess up your computer if you try. It involves having two accounts and setting security permissions on the executables you want to protect so that they can only be executed by an account with the correct permissions (typically not the one you use to log on to Windows in the first place).
