Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
But right now nintendo is really pissing me off. what i'm talking about is the events. they mostly, if not ALWAYS go to state capitols or popular cities only. They need to go to less populated places too. Every time there is an event i get my hopes up thinking its gonna come here (I live in Charlotte, NC) or at least within an hour of here. The closest place to me is ralleigh, which is 2 hours 35 minutes away. not only that but it's during the busiest part of the year for my mom because of her job. At this rate i'll never be able to go to an event. I barely have any friends here and absolutely no friends that play pokemon. I had two friends that played pokemon. a few years ago (a few months after gold and silver was released here in the US) moved to florida. the other one lived far away and i only am able to meet him at school, but since i graduated middle school i havn't seen him. So now its just me, myself, and I. That's why i want to go to a nintendo event, so i can meet pokemon players and make friends.

Discuss.

The Journey Across America Event is like an hour away from me so i have no reson to clompain :)

It is a bit unfair :p But when you think about, bigger cities have a higher population and that means a higher percent of people that would go to these events. So of course they wouldn't be going to any small towns. Which sucks because I live a small town in Florida's panhandle. Nothing ever happens here.

Torchic23

gee that's swell
That's becasue popular cities have more people that like pokemon in them -_-

I think Nintendo is being perfectly fair by going to major cities, of course I'll have to travel to get there, but that means that they'll br more people to beat ^_^

They have been getting better too. The first one had 3 cities, the closest one being 7-8 hours away. The next one had 5 cities and tried to get the bay area this time instead of LA county. This time, on a worldwide basis, they are going to about 30 different cities. Plus 3 hours isn't bad. That was my commut for the San Jose one, and it was worth it.

Damn man,
How on Earth do you expect Nintendo to visit every little insignificant city within America. It costs money to set these sorts of event up. If you can't make it then just plan on making the next tour.
disliking Nintendo just because they didn't cater specifically to your whims is kind of foolish.

At least you are just a simple bus-ride/road trip away from an event >> I have never been able to get an exclusive downloadble ever due to my location, yet this is a 'major' City in the US... if you're wondering where, just look at my location at the top-right of this post.

Charlotte is the biggest city in North carolina, not some rinky-dink town. >_>

Didn't you read the post. I can't go, it's too far away to do because of my mom's job.

I am aware of that. However, since it is not being held in all large city's, Charlotte is considered "insignificant" simply because of the extremely close proximity to the next city that is holding the event. Nintendo is attempting to be fair by at least spreading these events throughout the entire country so EVERYONE has a decent chance of attending one.
It's unfortunate that you won't be able to attend, but it's certainly not Nintendo's fault.

At least you Americans get an event somewhere in your country because Australia hasn't had an event since the Celebi event for Gold and Silver version.=(

We never got the Eon ticket (the only way I got it was from a friend who got it from another country). Australia skipped the event.

We have not had a Deoxys event and there is no announcement for one.
We have not gotten one ticket for the Advance versions and the only way is to either send the cartridge to the other countries holding an event or go overseas yourself. This is what Australia gets. There has been NO events in our major cities when it comes to Pokemon in years.
We've got it way worse and I'm really annoyed at Nintendo Australia.

The only ones we have access to are Jirachi in Pokemon Channel which I've found out later it wasn't Nintendo Australia's doing. When you buy a later Gamecube game (Pokemon XD) that says Australia on the cover and then turn it on and the first thing that comes up is the health and safety that says to go to Nintendo Europes site, you know that the Gamecube games are not done in Australia but in Europe. Nintendo Australia imports. This will explain why it took Nintendo Australia a month to mention that Jirachi was in Channel on their web site. >_<

Also any Australian that has Mario Kart on the DS. Go to the area where you connect to wi fi but don't do it at a Wi FI hotspot (you want to deliberately bring up the error) hit A when it comes up and it will tell you to contact Canada.>_<

The other two we have are Lugia from Pokemon XD and Ho Oh from Coloseum. That is it. Now if anyone wonders why Australians try to get Coloseum and XD so desperately that is the reason. Pokemon XD has been number one in the top ten Gamecube charts for weeks now here.

I really dislike the fact that Australia hasn't had a Pokemon event in years.

Australia is slow on everything, you might know this but season 7 of Charmed just ended this year and season 6 of Charmed was like in 2004!
Unles sif it's Australian made qwe are always behind.

I live in Connecticut and we never had a event the closet one was over 3 hours away <.<

3 hours drive please! We had to drive 10+ hours round trip to go to San Jose PRA from Los Angeles. It was worthed though :D, we won 3 Nintendo DS. If you really want to go you'll go and stop complaining. I'm sure it's even possible through public transportation. Be happy that it is on a weekend.

I don't, because NOE has started to notice us in england, and I was less than an hour away from one of the Deoxys events. But we barely get anything.

But wasn't there an event of sorts in Australia in 2004?

Yes, Nintendo is unfair for not brining events to every town in the US.

It's common business sense that they go to the big cities, because they'll get the most notice. These events are just adverts for their products. Fairness doesn't come into it.

thats not what i'm saying. I'm saying they should diversify their events by going to different cities instead of always going to a certain city.
