To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pokemon I have decided to play through Pokemon Red (the first pokemon game I played) with some of my favourite pokemon from the beginning. I have decided to play it JUST as I would have had all those years ago when I started playing. X_X I'm gonna be a n00b again...lol.

Anyone else trying something like this? Are there any special things that you are doing in your old Red and Blue versions for the anniversary?

I started a new game on my Blue. That's pretty much it. o_O

Woah, awesome idea! Thanks for the idea, I'm gonna go start playing my blue, or yellow. Whichever I find first.

I'll play it like a n00b too, for old times sake. :p

Yeah...

Time for me to use Farfetch'd all the time and have a Blastoise with Skull Bash again. lol

I might even get my friends to play and do old-school link battles with them. :D

I will probably go on to Gold/Silver/Crystal afterwards. Maybe go through the whole ten years in a couple of weeks. lol

I dunno if I will..
The graphics give me a headache & make me feel sick ^^;.
How I miss the days when I thought it was awesome to have Charizard with Ember, Fire Spin, Flame Thrower and Fire Blast.
Good times, good times.
I might play crystal though.. or silver.. or gold.

I'm thinking I'll rebuy Blue and play it as I would now to show how far I've come as a trainer.

Considering that my first playthrough was a few HM slaves and a Rare Candy Trick'd Chaizard and all, it'd be boring to play now.

I don't really think it's dwelling on the past... This is, afterall, a special occasion.
Why not give it a try and see what really got you into the pokemon franchise all those years back.

I'm currently playing through Silver and it's a blast!
The first Pokemon I ever caught was sentret and I attempted re-create the fun by once again making sentret the first Pokemon I ever caught.
I also chose a fire starter just like I did 6 years ago.

Well I fished my Blue out of the garage hoorah! It works, so I re-did everything like starting out with my beloved Bulbasuar and catching my pidgey.
