Anyone gonna give Project H.A.M.M.E.R. a chance?

It is after all a whole new Nintendo franchise and this is definately my underdog game of the Wii. Made by Nintendo Software Technology Corporation (often just Nintendo Software Technology, or "NST") which is Redmond-based first-party developer for Nintendo. NST was created to specifically create titles for Nintendo systems for the North American market.

See someone other then Miyamoto and everyone else in Japan making us games from nintendo... no offense. It's just nice to see how a differnet team handle making a big game. After all NST is responsible for many popular games released for Nintendo systems, including:

Ridge Racer 64, for the Nintendo 64,
Pokémon Puzzle League, for the Nintendo 64,
Wave Race: Blue Storm, for the GameCube
Nintendo Puzzle Collection (Japan Only), for the GameCube,
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest, for the GameCube,
1080° Avalanche, for the GameCube,
Mario vs. Donkey Kong, for the Game Boy Advance
Ridge Racer DS, for the Nintendo DS,
Metroid Prime: Hunters, for the Nintendo DS,
Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis for Nintendo DS,

And now Project H.A.M.M.E.R. for Wii. A whole new Nintendo Franchise... oh goody! And boy is the main protagainist pretty different from most Nintendo heroes...

What can you say? Gotta give props to a cyborg which is a nice change from the fantasy heroes of late! More like... Sci-Fi... wait that be Samus.... anyway more like.... comic book styled hero... meh that works. So... anyone gonna give this project a spin out for Wii? Smashing robots bent on causing destruction in the US sounds fun to me... well a little... hopefully a good story too... who knows what's gonna happen?

I will give it a try, both this and Red Steel sound insanely fun. I love Nintendo's fun wild games, but seriousness is good once in a while =]

I've not seen anything to make me go "I'm so buying this game!" just yet, but I'm definately watching it. It intrigues me.

I'll definetly rent it. I'm not sure if I'll buy it yet but I'll atleast try it. v Depends what other games come out with the Wii.

It depends on how long it lasts. If it's short, I won't. If it's pretty long, I will. Smashing things up with a giant hammer sounds like my sort of game.

I don't know... From what I've seen it looks prett cool. Judging by the looks of it, I might actually end up buying it. To me, destruction sounds perfect, so this is most likely going to be a very interesting/good game.

Omega Pirate

shove it up ya bum!
I was going to wait for other people to get it, hear their opinions and then decide on whether or not to get it based on the reaction of everyone else. It does look damn good though XD

Swampy

Crack the Skye
In short, I'm giving this game a chance. I'll be buying 4-5 launch games so if this makes launch then I'll buy it. dX

Although it certainly appeals to me, it's not at the top of my list of priorities:

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
Super Mario Galaxy
Wario Ware: Smooth Moves
Wii Sports
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

And that's just top priority. I've got a horde of other games that are appealing to me as well... And once I've got through that lot a new batch of incredible games will have been released! It's overwhelming really!
But I have to say the idea does appeal to me. I can see already the male teenage-to twenty-something American group they are aiming for there. After all, it's SMASHING things baby! I'm hoping the gameplay doesn't ware to thin though... it's definitely something to check out though!

Considering only 2 of those are confirmed launch titles, and H.A.M.M.E.R. is...

Games like Super Smash Bros. and Super Mario Galaxy have been confirmed to not be launch titles and and won't be available until early 2007. I'm not sure if PH is scheduled for launch, but it will probably be out before those games. You might as well pick up a copy and try it. I know I will.
