Anything in HGSS make you angry/confused?

Happy: Finally, shortcuts for more than one item! (Bike & Fishing Rod without ever having to open the menu? Yes pleeeeaase. :3 )
Sad: Female character is many times less cute than any of the previous ones. :(

1) cant buy coins,
2) Mostly only Johto and Kanto pokemon (limiting your Wifi trade, if you dont have older versions)
3) I got all 16 badges in about.. 18 hours.. I had the flue and therefore nothing to do.

...well, yeah. There are three Sinnoh titles still readily available for purchase. If you expected the majority of those critters to be found in HG/SS, that's on you; logic would dictate, accurately, that there's going to be a significant divide so as to give you every opportunity to dig into the Kanto and Johto Pokémon and to give you incentive to buy a Sinnoh title if you've not done so already.

3) I got all 16 badges in about.. 18 hours.. I had the flue and therefore nothing to do.

This one's also on you. No one forced to to devour the whole thing in the span of a few days, and 20 hours is about the standard length of a game from Start to "Finish".

The joy of a Pokémon core title, of course, is that the "Finish" is anything but. If you're going to consider the simple obtaining of the badges as the end-all, be-all of the game and ignore the countless side-quests and other stuff to do before, after and during the main quest and basically ignore a huge part of the game, then yeah, you're out of stuff to do.

So much of this thread is people complaining about the most minute and meaningless elements, stuff that there isn't actually a problem with, just people complaining that the game wasn't tailored to their every specification at every turn.

Did you just run through it with a starter or did you actually train an even team? I am just wondering because when I played through my Platinum from Start to Elite Four I used 35 hours, because I took my time to talk to people, use the dowsing application, and train all my pokémon evenly.

I am not exactly angry or confused about anything, but I am certain that I will miss the Pokéradar in Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

EDIT:
Just remembered what I am angry about. The low levels of the wild life Pokémon through out the game, which means no decent training spots in Johto or Kanto.

I Ran through it with my starter, just because no pokemon you can catch, is what I want for my desired wifi team. It probably takes alot longer to finish it.

1) dont get your panties in a knot
2) I did state I had the flu right? Right. In my case, the flu made it so I couldnt even stand up. Ok? good. (Sick for 3 days, and I have 33 hours of gameplay. thats about 10 hours a day, not including Sunday which I played for 12 hours straight.)
3) I ran through it because the Johto/Kanto pokemon werent as I desired, and therefor I wanted to hurry up and Wifi trade with some friends for my desired team.

Maybe you should stop bashin' on people, Pokemon, Srs bussnss? I guess it is for you.

Yeah, I'll admit it's pretty bad... but once you hit Olivine/Cianwood, the levels and experience are actually enough to the point where training is somewhat feasible.

the only strong pokemon you can find are the lvl 50 and thats at Mt. Silver on the top, the guide officially sucks B A L L S, it stops at the E4 and doesn't tell you anything about Kanto or anything else, since you can only get the Super Rod on Kanto they didn't bother to mention it at all, this guide is officially the worst guide in the history of pokemon guides.

LOL I was so close to buying that guide because the cover looked so awesome but then I found out how short it was.

I just learned that you cannot buy coins anymore.

Thanks Pokemon USA, you've ruined a good part of HGSS. Just because Europe has laws against gambling does not mean the United States has to suffer to this as well. Now in order to get cool TM's like Flamethrower, I have to torture myself into playing through the abysmal Voltorb Flip game.

You're welcomed, i just wasted $19.46 for an incomplete guide, damn even Serebii has a better guide than them, I bet he could get paid to make guides for Nintendo better than the guys right now.

I was going to... but then I realized how thin it was (hell, the DP guide was bigger than it).

I know, I've been using Pokearth and other stuff for my progress. It's a pain I can't right click and select "new tab" for each area. But, it's definitely useful. Only thing missing is a map of the area.

Not able to buy coins. Now the only way for me to get Ice beam/T-bolt/ FLamethrower is to trade them from Platinum. And the casino game sucks so bad you don't even get 10 coins from it.

Hmm, three things:
1. If I remember correctly the first G/S guide was super thin, too. Nothing like getting back to the classics.

2. Well of course it would be thin. I mean most of the stuff that is found in the game (ie. non-native pokemon/event pokemon) was found in the Platinum guide. I am just hoping they gave Arceus it's full spread, but I doubt it.

3. Perhaps the reason it's so thin is that Nintendo is getting to release another National dex guide that will cover not only all 493 Pokemon, but also the pokewalker courses. Seems like they lost a lot of money when they combined the Platinum game guide with the National dex for the ridiculously low price of $19.99 USD.

As for my praises and disses, I have the following:
praise: I love the new graphics, and details in the game (a rotating sign? brilliant).

disses: I, too, agree that the new female avatar is butt ugly. Why couldn't they stick with the crystal female? Also, the pal park idea is so out of place. I wish they had brought back the time-machine-link feature to import from 3rd gen games. That would have been a nice homage to the G/S/C I remember.

Lt. Surge is an American, so I see why it makes sense he has an English language Pikachu, but what would his Pikachu be like in the U.S.? Has anybody got to the point in the game where Lt. Surge offers you a trade?
If so what language is it? Has the dialogue changed to make reference to the trade?

The only real thing i'm bothered about is that everyone else gets the game first, as us in the UK have to wait untill the 26th :/

I can deal with the low leveled Pokémon and the fact i have to trade my TM13s, TM24s and TM35s from Platinum. Lack of the VS Seeker is quite annoying, i don't see why they had to take it out as it is so much better than phoning people up at certain times.
