Daydreaming
The only thing that makes my annoyed is the PokeGear. In the original games, I didn't really mind the occasional calls from other trainers. Yet now every few steps it's Mother calling to tell me about a wonderful new item that she bought and that I am obliged to pick it up at the next PokeMart I see. It's awful. I'm also too used to seeing the time down at the bottom of the screen, it was a lot easier to just look down instead of having to interrupt whatever you're doing just to look at the time on the PokeGear.

Totally agreed. Way way way too many calls. Just about every time I exit a gym, or finish a battle I get I call. I can't stand it so much that most of the time I just don't answer the call, and continue whatever I'm doing. I was also really annoyed by that whole "gotta catch Lugia before the E4" thing. I usually just went back to catch legendaries after I finished Kanto. Not to mention that Nintendo did little to fix the parts of the original games that I was looking forward to them doing. Things like opening up the Lavender Radio Tower, or doing something with Cinnabar. Instead, they wasted they're time coming up with stupid new traps and layouts for all of the gyms. And once again they left Kanto totally unguided, allowing you to basically do whatever you want, so long as you fix the Power Plant. The only guidence they provide was the occasional hint like in Vermillion "you should go north to Saffron," or the Police officer in the power plant saying, " I think he went to Cerulain City..." I don't mean to offend anyone who enjoys the Pokeathelon Dome, but its very childish... The games appeal to five year olds just like all the other new things they add to these games, but in reality, a huge part of the Pokemon community are teenagers. I suppose overall they did a decent job of remaking the original games, but there's quite a lot of things that I felt Nintendo could have done a better job of.

I hate:

-The fact that in the pokewalker, in the final "section" there is one rare pokemon and one common pokemon in most routes. And after walking 10000 + steps, when the pokemon is the common one and not the one you are looking for, you have to return the pokemon to your game and start over. (takes a long time even if you don't actually "walk" for Watts)
- The looowww amount of oppertunities to train... a team of 4 is hard enough to manage well, let alone six......
- The lack of contests. They should have encorperated both...? I mean come on.... (i know its only anime but) May went to Johto for what? CONTESTS!!! and where is it? Oh sorry we only have small mini kiddy games that can beat in litterally half an hour.... *hyperventlates XD*
- The freedom in Kanto. Its fun but I want SOME incentive to actually EXPLORE
- The fact that Johto Over run Kanto: The safari Zone, the cerulean bike shop. I know its little things but seriously, its like what happened here on serebii. "The new generation took over"
- The missing yellow hand in the PCs. The new formatting is kinda easy but I would like to move alot of pokemon in a snap right? I mean dragging EACH pokemon? urgh.... why get rid of something so USEFUL?
- The Voltorb Flips.... Too much thinking...LOL the slots: just keep clicking and evetually *DING DING DING* WINNER! Lol no I'm not stupid but seriously, it was way funner and entertaining!
- The DESIGN in the game corners... Come on... it looks like some syndicate fricking over run it..... (Team Rocket Strikes again)
- YOU CAN'T BUY COINS???? .... Fail
and finally...

When in Pal park/Safari Zone:
When your character throws a pokeball, it doesnt go in a straight curve but jagged and looks awkward. Was like this since DPT and ANOYS THE HECK OUT OF ME!!! srsly!!! OMG. The mud and bait are straight but the pokeball? NO it MAGICALLY ZIGZAGS in the AIR... URGH.... Lol...

:p Thanks for bothering to read :p

The move pokemon option, in bill's pc, is horrible compared to D/P.

A lot of the useful items/pokemon don't show up until you don't need them anymore (ex. vulpix shows up right before you fight all the water pokemon and AFTER you fight the grass pokemon).

The ratio for catching pokemon is all over the place: I caught lugia with a quarter of its health with an ultra ball (10th ball). I couldn't, however, catch a quillfish with an ultra ball while it was within a sliver of its life at lvl. 40 (7th ball failed 12 succeeded).

The fact that, even after you get all 16 badges, you can't fly to kanto from johto and you can't fly from johto to kanto.

Mine sweeper is an incredibly addictive game that takes away your time at work >.> so they should have stuck with slots.

The critical hit ratio is a lot higher and the confusion turns last longer than 4.

The running shoes option should be in the bag, not always on the side and they should allow for 4 items to be registered in the main touch screen.

etc. etc.

For those complaining about how Lavender's Music isn't as creepy as it once was. Are you sure that it the GSC Version which was always bouncy and cheery and not the RBY version which was genuinely creepy and disturbing?. And on that note, those who complain that you can't get the GB Sounds earlier because you want the same 8-bit Beeps and Boops because the remixes are "SOOOO SHITTEH"! throughout the entire game well.... GO PLAY THE GODDAMNED ORIGINALS.

I no likey
* Not being able to by coins (Voltorb flip isn't that hard but it pays out low and the good TM's like Thunderbolt are 10,000 coins and TB isn't found ingame until the Cerulean Cave.)
* Latios/Latias/Mewtwo given no special theme.
* The whole Hoenn/Sinnoh sound shenanigans.
* Not being able to fly from Johto to Kanto and vice-versa without by-stopping at route 28
* Yellow Hand is gone.
* Roamers
* The Pokewalker only gives you 1 Level up at a time.
* Legendaries not staying in the god damned Heavy Balls.

There is nothing about the game I don't like but in terms of characters I forgot how annoying Clair the Gym Leader is. When she doesnt want to give you the badge I got so angry, I beat you with 1 pokemon, you lost, get over it!

I hate how you have to get over the HS in every pokeathlon event - i got 35 in the pennant and its the equal record, LET ME IN!!!

Of course this is a small part and im angry at it over the fact its taken me over a day to not get it yet. Its a small gripe, but its the right thread for it :)

I miss the small details. The little radios (that actually worked) in every house; the coins on Mr. Pokemon's desk, etc.

You know that if you let 5 Items build up she won't call you again until you pick them up, right?

Also get a watch lol (I'm not trying to be rude here, but there are other ways of checking the time).

I have very few gripes with the game. Certainly much less than any of the games since the originals. However the few things that were bad were pretty annoying.

1) Can't buy coins. WTF I could careless what games there are to play, but why remove the option to buy coin? However Voltorb flip is a lot more fun than slots.

2) The box interface is REALLY clunky. A huge step down from DP. Almost as bad as the boxes in the original GS lol.

3) Why do I have to catch Ho-oh now?!

4) Still hate Whitney's Miltank :p

5) I don't care how damn much you think your Rattata is "special"! Stop calling me! :D

Other than that (the last two were mostly sarcastic) I believe these are the best pokemon games yet.

I don't care about my mom calling me because she doesn't (due to her not saving my money) I find it stupid when after a trainers main pokemon has evolved from rematches they still call it the same thing it was the first time i beat Youngster Joey in all of his rematches but he still calls me about a rattata when he only has a raticate.

1 thing: higher encounter rate for wild pokémon.
When I am trying to explore a cave or something, every 2 seconds... bam wild poké.
Drives me nuts.

You think those examples are insane? My friend caught Ho-Oh with a dusk ball, green health on his first try during the day. Mine took 7 at night with 1 HP left.

My peeves about the game are:
-Removing slots in both casinos. They've been in every US game so far so what do they honestly believe warrants the change from the Japanese version?
-The old pervert outside Erika's gym had his comment censored. What was previously "I love this gym it's full of beautiful women!" is now, "I love this gym it's full of STRONG trainers!" I don't know how the hell they thought that was necessary.

It's still GSC but it's no where near as good for most of the reasons mentioned in this thread. They'd better not mess up on 5th gen or RSE remakes that'll likely happen on 10th anniversary.

I hate those goddamn ratata calls >_>

^ God yes!, I hate those calls so much.

* Legendaries not staying in the god damned Heavy Balls.

^ And also of note is the fact that the legendary runners do not stay in the Fast balls either.

I'm also annoyed at;

- All of those stupid pokemon based calls, I especially dislike all the clefairy based calls I seem to get

-you can’t buy coins (good thing I had abused my emerald version so much)

-how low the levels are on the wild pokemon, level 50ish in mount silver?
(It’s especially now since Lance fights me with a level 75 Dragonite)

Lmbo XD I don't mind those... as much as I'm ticked about how hard it is to get a Surfing Pikachu.

I don't walk 10,000 + steps every day ya know :p. I'm lucky if I get over 2000 + steps...

I remember that old guy XD. Too bad that the censored him.

As for complaints...

I'm just ticked about how long it takes to get anything rare in Yellow Forest. I've been wanting a legit Surfing Pikachu -- for a long time... and I still haven't gotten one :(. I don't walk 10,000 + steps every day either :p. Generally around 2000 + steps or so on a good day...

I too hate that you have to take 10,000 steps to find rare pikachu's. I didnt realise until after walking 3,000. But I can easily do the steps by taking it to school (If I weren't on holidays :S)
