Have you ever wondered why a certain Pokemon doesn't learn a certain move, especially when it seems to make sense that it should? Post any appropriate moves that you think Pokemon SHOULD be able to learn here. No crap, like say Diglett with Blizzard, but stuff that makes sense.

Pichu/Pikachu/Raichu - Ice Punch
Sandslash - Spikes (its back is covered in spikes, and it learns Poison Sting, so why not?)
Plusle/Minun - Ice Punch
Kabutops - Earthquake
Gyarados - Aerial Ace
Torkoal - Earthquake
Swablu - Wing Attack
Magnemite/ton - Meteor Mash
Forretress - Meteor Mash
Eevee - Shock Wave (its evos could use the variety, and Eevee is one of the few Normal types that can't learn a wide range of typed attacks)
Shuckle - Iron Defense
Squirtle/Wartortle/Blastoise - Iron Defense
Loudred/Exploud - Focus Punch (inexplicably, it can't learn it)

I've mentioned it before, but why can't Breloom get Rock Slide? :<

Also, Ursaring needs Shadow Ball. If only he could do that I would absolutely love him.

Spock

Live Long & Prosper
Also, I want Lugia with Silver Wind. I dunno. And Starmie with Signal Beam.

The reason Eevee can't learn a wide variety of attacks is because it has so many elemental evolutions. I could probably see Espeon and Umbreon learning Shockwave, but the eons are kinda meant to be limited. I'm surprised they can even learn Shadow Ball.
I do agree with Exploud learning Focus Punch, it's very VERY wrong that it can't learn it.

Ninetales- Psychic (while I'm not a big fan of Ninetales, I feel that, compared to its counterpart, Arcanine, Ninetales got the short end of the stick, especially in the newer generations. It doesn't have a remarkable special attack, but there are many hints to this Pokemon being highly intelligent, and Psychic would do it good.)

Venusaur- Bite and/or Crunch (Venusaur has a huge special attack and no good special moves. This may conflict with Blastoise learning Bite, but come on, Blaziken and Sceptile can both learn Slash, a bitey dark move would be neat for such a huge-mouthed creature).

Hitmonchan- Shadow Punch (this guy needs something to really make him stand out against his superior cousins, and a naturally learned Ghost move would be AWESOME)

Rapidash- Earthquake (Rapidash sucks and it has a decent attack stat. It being hoofed, I can see it learning Earthquake)

Well Vaporeon could be able to learn Shock Wave, since a few Water types can. Heck, if Wingull/Pelipper can do it, Vaporeon can darn well do it too. :p

And uh, Slash isn't a "bitey dark move", what are you on about? :p

And Ninetales with Psychic makes a lot of sense, especially after the anime episode "Just Waiting On a Friend". Psychic just...fits with Ninetales' mystical nature. It really needs another special attack too.

Aggron, like, needs Meteor Mash. Iron Tail just doesn't cut it. :[

Ice Punch for Ampharos. ;o;

And under the supposition that Manyula is a special attacker, I'd like to see Sneasel with Psychic and Crunch. :p

Why can't Gyarados learn Fly? I mean, it's flying type...

Komedic Konservationist

N00b in the dungeon!
I think it's ridiculous that Meganium can't learn Aromatherapy, but Paras/parasect can. Also, Rapidash should learn Extremespeed.

I never said it was. I was speaking of starters in the same generation learning similar attacks. Blaziken and Sceptile both learning slash, Blastoise and Venusaur both learning Bite.

Silver Wind and Aerial Ace. ;/

So? Plenty of Pokemon rely on bred moves or TMs to achieve their prowess. Besides of which, it's not like the moves are going to be especially useful on Ledian considering its attack.

And I can't have any clue about what you mean if you don't specify it. :(

Drayano

Pokémon Professor?
Tauros needs Shadow Ball or Megahorn. Only has three moves especially useful. ;/ Shadow Ball seems good considering most other Normal types learn it, and look at those horns. They look like they could preform Megahorn to me. Unless it's somehow to do with the fact that Tauros has two horns. o_o;

Gyrados- fly

Not that I disagree, but Scizor ain't no crab, and yes, Gyarados SHOULD learn Fly.

BTW, I think IMO every legendary should have their own unique attacks. Lugia = Aeroblast, Ho-Oh = Sacred Fire, Lati@s have thier mist attacks.
Why not Groudon, Kyogre, maybe even Mewtwo, Mew, Celebi, etc?

Typhlosion - Heat Wave, Haze (it DOES hide itself under a heat haze in battle, although an Ice move on a Fire type would be WTF)

Sneasel - FIX ITS F*CKING STATS. And then I will be happy. Ans Eszett, I believe you're very mistaken.

Mightyena - Faint Attack
