Yeah this looks awesome, Sirfetch'd and Dracovish finally get a match to themselves after being sidelined for so long. Glad Ash is finally battling an E4 member as well, albeit I'm mixed on having yet another Dragon specialist. Wonder how he'll beat a mega without using one himself.

Still happy Sirfetch'd is getting some redemption, he really needed it after losing to Hawlucha again

Hawlucha has beaten a Mega Absol, Pikachu eventually beat Mega Lucario, same as Dragonite.

Just pointing this out but the one in position number 8 that Ash would battle to take their spot and get into the Master Class is Flint and not Raihan.

I've always assumed entry into the Master class works the same as every other class: climb up the ranks by battling members of your own class and move into another class when your ranking is in the respective range. I don't understand where this idea of battling the trainer at position 8 to enter the Master class came from, because there's absolutely no basis to this theory when we know you can only battle trainers belonging to the same class.

Ash will simply beat a highly ranked Hyper class opponent, move up above the 9th spot and kick out whichever Masters 8 member is ranked the lowest. You could argue that it isn't fair to get demoted when you haven't lost a battle, but that's exactly how it works in the other classes as well so I don't see why that's so unbelievable.

Basically this being the case:

Nr8 has a 'points total' of 1000.
Nr9 has a 'points total' of 990.

Nr9 battles challenger Nr11, wins. Gains 11 points. Jumps the 'points total' of Nr8 by 1 and thus has achieved MasterRank-status.

That being said.. I'd love to see Ash use his Infernape against Flint's again, since its thing at Oak's was beating other Fire-types. Also, Greninja would be an awesome foil to Flint's Infernape. Water > Fire, but Fighting > Dark.

Then in that scenario it would be completely pointless to show Flint ranking down to position 8 if Ash isn’t going to battle him for his position.

Now the suggested match ups if Ash’s Infernape or Greninja going against Flint’s Infernape would be cool.


To answer your question as to when Flint got rank down to rank 8, it happened in episode 100 after he lost to Leon it showed his ranking dropping from 7 to 8.

Also just pointing this out but the last time we got Raihan’s ranking revealed he was rank 7.

Now since Flint rank down from rank 7 to 8 in episode 100 Raihan’s clearly is in a different rank if I had to guess Raihan is probably 6 unless he had dropped down to 8 and then when Flint dropped from 7 to 8 Raihan went back to rank 7.

So Raihan is either back at rank 7 or he is at rank 6 or higher. My guess is he is probably at rank 6.

And in JN sometimes they bring back Miyazaki music for major episodes. Totally possible even if not guaranteed

I actually really like 1-2-3 too, it got a bit infamous because of the series it was in and how they decided to use the same music in different versions for all seasons but it's a nice fun song

I like 1,2,3's first and last versions, but the second was just ok and the third....eeeeeh

Bruh Ash is using a Sirfetchd against a Mega Altaria. If anything, Bulbasaur or Sceptile would be better matched against Infernape in Ash's world lol.
