Satoshi and the others have come to the Gym of Kanto in Malie City. And for some reason, they're met by a group of Gym Trainers dressed as ninjas!!

Satoshi and the others have come to the Gym of Kanto in Malie City. The gym appears to be modeled after a gym in the Kanto region, but for some reason a group of Trainers dressed as ninjas lie in wait for them inside. And when the group hears they can have a Pokémon battle against the head of the Gym on the top floor if they win against the ninjas on each of the other floors, their fighting spirit flares up.

ok this sounds a bit interesting. meltan, torracat, and rowlet could all get a chance to shine in the gym. I could see rowlet developing more of it's stealthy battle style since there are ninjas

Still though, that's a bit random, considering the Kantonian Gym was based on the Vermilion Gym, unless they changed it to Fuchsia for some reason.

Still though, can't wait to see Ryuki.

The part about ninjas makes me think that they switched the basis of the Kantonian Gym from the Vermilion Gym to the Fuchsia Gym.

Neither did Lillie, Lana, Kiawe, Sophcoles, and Mallow and yet 3 of those characters have a Z-ring in the anime and given how things are going Mallow and Sophocles are probably going to be getting Z-rings as well. So just because Ryuki doesn't have a Z-ring or a Z-crystal in the games doesn't mean that he couldn't have them in the anime.

Neither did Lillie, Lana, Kiawe, Sophcoles, and Mallow and yet 3 of those characters have a Z-ring in the anime and given how things are going Mallow and Sophocles are probably going to be getting Z-rings as well. So just because Ryuki doesn't have a Z-ring or a Z-crystal in the games doesn't mean that he couldn't have them in the anime.
