Are Legendaries Really Cheap?

How do you all feel about using Legendaries?

I personally only allow 1 legendary on my team at a time because even though you they do have semi average stats they are still legendaries.

Any thoughts?

Seeing as I don't really battle competitively, and the Battle Frontier doesn't allow legendaries, I don't really use them.

However, I did run through Leaf Green with a Mystery Mew, and it's now Level 100, but I've run out of things to do on LG, so yeah :p

Just traded a Deoxy & a Darkrai, which I'm planning to train up, just for the coolness factor of them, seeing as they're pretty rare and individual.

It all depends on the total stats and move access and abilities. I personally have no problems with the Trios (Articune, Zapdos, Moltres, etc...) as the psedo-legendarys like Dragonite, Metagross and Salmence have better overall stats than the legendary Trios.

That what I think

Some are just to powerful like Mewtwo, and Mew cause of its access to practally every move out there.

i dont find it unless they are one of the following (DARKRAI,palkia,DARKRAI,dialga,DARKRAI,arceus,DARKRAI etc)(dang darkrais in double battles)

KagamineReimu

Kagamine. Love. Yes.
personally it depends.
When I'm just there I bring the legendaries I want to EV train and level up.

However in battle, unless you have a good reason, don't bring more than two legendaries in your party. Better yet, bring one.
Because ganging ubers up on the fair players isn't smiled upon.

Yea, I only allow one uber legendary in my team. I don't think its that bad if you use more than one non-uber legendary.

are they really that cheap?
sure they have high stats and everything, but it's just not worth it to freak out about anything

Gives 'em the slip..
Non-Uber legendaries are fine, but limit one per team of six. I mean, who's going to argue that Suicune and Registeel can't be defeated? Registeel doesn't even qualify for OU competitions. Psuedo-legendaries all have a 4x weakness, except Metagross who has to deal with Earthquake and fire attacks. Garchomp may be Uber, but it still is decimated by Ice Shard and Ice Beam, which have plenty of users at this point.

To me, if you can't pick a team without using more than one Legendary, then it portrays you your strength as a player. Same with overused; two overused Pokemon, and the rest should be underused while capitalizing on their strengths, not exaggerating their weaknesses.

talk about overused look at bullet punch scizor. and breloomand salamence. i go for originality. my in game team is swello hariyama castform voltorb darkrai and defdeox. yeah thats right i use 2 legendaries. boohoo.

goldgolem

tell me when to go
sometimes legendaries can be cheap ways of beating the pokemon league the first time because they are high lvl when you catch them so it makes it easier(supposedly).

Except 2 of those are Ubers...

Uber Legendaries aren't allowed in competetive play, the rest is all fair game.

I have trained up about 11-12 pokemon for competive use and use in the battle tower and 3 of them are Legendary; Bold Suicune, Modest Raikou, and Timid Zapdos.

I'd rather face Legendaries, that Dragons locked in Outrage.

As long as they're not uber, I don't care how many are on a team. I like to use Suicune and Zapdos, and I'm not going to limit myself for just because they're "legendary". They're fair to use in OU battles because they're not too strong, like other OU pokemon. And some, like Moltres, aren't even useful in OU.

I'm back!
theyre not too cheap i just dont like uber ones that are really tough with no 4x weakness. i mean suicunes moltres' and stuff are fine cause they are fair and not too hard to fight.
and there are people who just use uber legendarys against an actually creative team and brag about winning. but im fine with non-uber legendarys.

Sure, because Moltres doesn't take little damage from / resist every single move standard Scizor carries, which is the most overused pokemon atm. Ergo, Moltres is useless in OU, amirite?

Anyway, I'm fine with using legendaries and whatnot. Every legendary has a counter, so it's not impossible to beat them. You just need to be prepared.

However, ubers, such as Groudon and Mewtwo, should stay in ubers. Since, in the right hands, it's incredibly difficult to beat them using "regular" pokemons.

This. If I'm intent on getting to the post-E4 material as quickly as possible, I'll stick a properly-equipped Kyogre, Rayquaza or Dialga on my roster and blow through without a second thought or any guilt whatsoever.

Use in competitive play is entirely up to the user and his/her opponent. There's no Legendary that can't be countered with the right Pokémon and the right training.

I must admit that I use legendaries like kyogre etc to farm the elite four for easy exp and cash, and I used to use a non-soul dew latios in random online battles.

I do have a competitive team without legendaries in it and that aside, it's my opinion that you can easily beat most ubers except some of the more annoying ones like wobbeffet and darkrai and some of the more powerful ones like mewtwo and arceus.

There is nothing wrong with legendaries. (lol Phione being "cheap")
I also don't find anything wrong with ubers as long as they stay in their own teir. I actualy like uber battles when it's even on both sides. But uber vs OU/UU can be annoying.
