Are these fake?

Yesterday, my cousin borrowed my Mystery Dungeon strategy guide on the promise that I would get 10 of his Pokemon cards that he doesn't use but won't give away normally.

This morning, I went up there, and yes, he was going to give them to me, but I couldn't choose the Crobat or the Latias that his brother claims he got from a friend (but in reality, they came in starter decks that I had) but I won't go into that.

What I found, sorting them into piles, were three cards from a set I'd never seen. All I can tell you is that there's ten cards in the set, there's a Pikachu, a Zigzagoon and a Linoone, and there's a set symbol of a blue Latios in the bottom right hand corner. (If I manage to get these cards I'll post a picture, I didn't actually have time to pick.)

Now, I just checked up on a Pokemon Card website, and on the English Advanced card sets, there's no sign of them, and a search for either of the Pokemon in it comes up blank. Does this mean that the cards are fake, or does this site just not know about them? I'll assume they're fake until someone tells me otherwise, because I've never seen a 10-card set before.

^ Absolute rubbish.

This was from something called EX Trainer Kit which was released in 2003. It basically has two 30-card decks, one was Latios and one was Latias (both had ten different cards).

Oh, and GC, get your facts right - they used to have eleven, Nintendo changed it to nine because costs went up. They're now changing it to ten.

No, eleven. Check any online store and they have eleven-card booster packs from Base Set to Legendary Collection.
