Are we ever going to get a new type?

I personally think it would be fun to get one more new type before pokemon ends or POSSIBLY two.

I don't really care either way since I also am not a fan of having a new type to deal with since that's three gens now with nothing changed for the types but it would be nice to get something new down the line since we may really end up with seven.

Do you want or don't want a new type?

I highly doubt we ever will....

But if we do, it would probably be Light type and in the last generation of Pokemon. But Light would be way too much like electric

Then again, Dark will have a rival.

I honestly don't see them making a new type anytime soon because there's still so many type combinations that haven't been used yet.

currently, there's at least 98 type combinations that have been used in the game so far, plus another 191 that has not been used yet, making about 289 type combinations in total.

I'm not sure... Dark and Steel were created mainly because back in the R/B/Y days, Psychic was way overpowered, and they needed something to balance it out.

No, I don't think there will be. The only arguable new type there could be is Light because of the "opposite to Dark" thing, but i'm happy with the 17 types we have. They can still make a Hell of a lot of combinations with those.

Very slim chance, it might only happen if people start getting tired of pokemon. But there's a chance of more type combination if there's no new types.

but if they do it should be light
it could be strong against flying... and psychic
weak against rock, and ground
and equal to dark...
only because light can cover darkness... but it
can be flipped too
