Well, Ash said that his goal is to befriend every Pokemon which is a never ending goal so there was no other way to end his journey for the viewers.

I'm in the minority, but I feel a comfort of Ash's journey being never ending weirdly. Ashy boy and Pikachu are always traveling out there somewhere even if we don't follow them.

It is perfectly in Ash's character for him to keep travelling even if the spotlight is no longer on him. Anybody that thought he was going to retire (as a 10-year-old child no less) and hang out in Kalos or Paldea with some woman for a dozen or so years or until he has a 10-year-old kid doesn't know the character all that well IMO.

If you take the fact that Pokemon is a kodmo anime into consideration, then yes.

It wasn't even a climax, but a bunch of fillers you could find in any season. It's more a reflection of the bad planning Journeys had.

At least writers gave an answer about what a Pokémon Master could be, and as kinda suspected it (because Takeshi Shudo's books implied something similar), certainly I'm satisfied with it.

I am missing some of the later arcs. But still, obviously he never had enough relevance to be attributed anything resembling a main villain that has to be stopped for good.

Giovanni, and Team Rocket organisation are just background, origin story for TRio in anime.

Some of them may sometimes make appearance, but in a long run, they never really mattered.

Yeah I will agree with this. I actually hate how they decided to just have the TRio chase a boy and his Rat forever and ever. Like I feel like they really should've just left Team Rocket
