Are You Picky on Genders??

Are you picky on what the gender of your pokemon is?

I sometimes am....for example: I always have a female Gardevoir and Gorebyss and Ninetales and Meganium, etc.

And for the males i always have an Aggron, the Starter Pokemon, (except Chikorita), Salemence and much more....

Are you picky too?

yeah
because females are good at speed
while males are good at strength
and i emphasize strength.....
but.......
why do I keep on encountering females??????!!!!!!!

I'm not really picky about Genders, unless a certain evolution requires the Pokemon to be a male. For instance, Kirlia's male evolved form, or Roselia's evolved form. That's probably the only time I would bother about genders.

Hmm... I just seem to unconciously pick male pokemon. Some I like to pick as female though if I think of a good name for them like the female Oddish I caught named Raflecia who will become a Vileplume/Rafflesia Pokemon one day.

Gender doesn't affect the Pokemon's stats in any way... So I could care less whether my Pokemon is a male/female or not. =/

I can easily see this turning into a topic where I flame rune the 1st's arse off... >>

Not really. If I find one a Pokemon that I want, I catch it and rarely if ever pay attention to gender.

no not really exept for blaziken he's my favorite pokemon and i don't want him to be a weakling female (no offence)

How can you call females weak and then say "No offense"? And did you know that females, even if they're not fast or strong, are better at enduring pain than males? Furthermore, except in GSC, gender doesn't affect stats at all. Sexist.

Anyway... yah. I don't really care about gender one way or the other. Never have, not even when I was little. I do pay attention to gender once I catch the Pokemon (I give them feminine or masculine names, and call them "he" and "she", instead of "it"), but don't play favorites or anything.

I'm the same. I've been breeding for a nice female Gardevoir with Synchronize for a couple of weeks. I've hatched a female Gardevoir (modest nature) with Flawless S.Att, S.Def and HP, but refuse to use it because it has trace. I've also hatched a modest Gardevoir with synchronize and nearly the same stats, only slightly higher Def, but I do not use it either, because it's a male. I'm getting frustratingly close.

Sometimes, but just if the poké needs some Egg moves to work very well, I try to pick a female so I can breed her.

If not, I just catch the first one, male or female.

^True, females may not be as strong as males, but they are better at enduring pain. My mom was saying something about this a few days back, something about pain being a blow to a man's ego. (Can't remember everything she said.)
And yeah, gender doesn't do anything to pokemon's stats in this generation. :p

Getting back on topic, I'm not picky about genders, I couldn't care less about them. I don't care what gender one of my pokemon has, you get what you get.

However, I am picky SOMETIMES. For example, I was hatching Ralts eggs, and refused to get a male one, as I think Gadervoir should be a female pokemon. (Even though the one I raised on ruby was male) I also did that with several other pokemon, I wanted a male Milotic, female Altaria, and a male Umbreon.

But other than that, I don't give a crap about my pokemon's gender.

I am very picky on genders, except when I complete the pokedex, then I dont care about those pokemon, or any others that I won't use, like a Dustox.

All my pokemon in my teams have been females, even the 30 or so ones that I have raised to level 50, I always insist that some pokemon be a certain gender, like you said Aquarelle, Gardevoirs = female.

Nope, never picky. I just catch whichever gender comes up first, as the pokemon aren't real, therefore their genders have absolutely nothing to do with anything.

In Pokemon Mystery dungeon, certain pokemon genders were restricted to specific genders. Eevee, Skitty and Chikorita can only be attained if you're a girl, while Machop, Meowth and Cyndaquil can only be attained by boys. I found this pretty interesting.

Anyway, I'm not that picky about them, but sometimes I have a name in mind or I just picture myself with one of a specific gender. That's when I go for a specific one.
