Ash and the Battle League? (SPOILERS)

We're all familiar with how the only league Ash has won is the Orange League championship, and how in the other leagues based off the video games, he's never won. Well, this just occurred to me:

Could this be another league that Ash will win, considering that, technically, it's not based on one of the main video games? It's possible, considering that the guy who owns the Battle Frontier seems to respect Ash as a strong trainer, and so Ash could eventually challenge and win the Battle Frontier.

Thoughts?

hmm. lost kanto league, won orange league, lost johto league, lost hoenn league, the way i see it, theres no pattern.

but the possiblity is quite low, because not only does he not have very, well, tactical plans or battle way, its kinda hard to imagine him actually winning. his only really good pokemon is pikachu. beside that, im still not sure if he can win. but i dont know, i want to see what others think.

Ordinarily I would say it goes against logic to have Ash win a league since if he won a main one the series would most likely end, but since this is a miniarc I guess he might

LOL, you gotta be joking. Grovyle (possible Sceptile), Swellow, Donphan, and Corphish aren't good? Groudon causes Drizzle when it comes out of its pokeball?! Goodness I didn't know! (sarcasm)

urr (cough) so, this GROUDON, when did in any episode did he catch one? (sarcasm)

what im pointing out is that, when i say really good, i mean like, WHOA!!!!!!!!1

Like this.

UBER GOOD: Pikachu, Charizard
DECENT GOOD: Grovyle, (yes i know he could evolve into sceptile), donphan, tauros, corphish (i think he might evolve too), donphan, swellow, kingler
GOOD: the rest of the pokemon that i didnt bother to mention

What im trying to say is that, Ash has improved on his skill in honoring his battle tactics, but in the battle frontier, its not going to be like a walk in the park. its gonna be like, the pokemon league x100000000!!!!! (sorry for over exagerating)

God, i dont think i understand myself...

forgetting Glalie/Heracross/Charizard/Snorlax as well there buddy.

Anyway they probably will do something big after Ash wins all seven frontier badges but the question is what.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
If all Ash has to do to "win" the BF is to beat Brandon and get his 7th symbol, then of course he'll win.

It doesn't take a genius to realize that Ash will get all 7 symbols. Just like Ash always gets his 8 badges and May will always get her 5 ribbons, if Brandon IS the final person and nobody else after that, then yes, Ash will win the BF.

It's common sense. Now if they make some sort of league thing after Brandon, then Ash winning is up in the air. But if all there is is Brandon, then Ash has it in the bag.

Why would they end it after Brandon!? Sure Scott says beat all the BF brains but after that he'll almost definitely introduce him to a league.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
Well there's nothing like that in the games, all Scott rewards you with after you beat the 7 Brains is a berry. :p

If there is a league thing, then Ash may not win, but as it stands right now the writers pretty much hyped Brandon up as the final guy this saga. If there was a league, I'm sure Scott would have mentioned it by now.

Interesting points. Remember games is not equal to anime as said many times by many people. I can picture Ashs expression if he won a berry for beating the BF. Priceless.

It'd be quite funny to see Scott all enthusiastic in presenting Ash with a berry only to have him find it lame and give it to May for PokeBlock or something.

I'm still waiting for Ash to crush Spencer then lose to Anabel before some hard training then rematch in which torkaol kicks the *** of all Anabel's pokemon (NOT bloody likely but a guy can dream can't he)

I don't think there needs to be a league at all. Just saying that you beat all of the Frontier leaders would be a feat in and of itself. After Ash beats Brandon he'll probably get a nice little trophy to put next to his Orange League trophy, and be on his merry way to the fourth region.

My only question is what the hell Ash's 6th pokemon for the Brandon match will be, assuming that the writers /did/ actually leave that spot up for rotation. Will he switch up his team completely for it, or will just one pokemon come back and fill in the sixth spot?

I'd just like to point out that anyone who doesn't think Swellow is...um...'Uber good' as it was so put, doesn't have a clue what they're talking about. End of story.

I don't see there being a big league tornament to wrap the Battle Frontier. Its going to be Brandon as the BBFC (Big Battle Frontier Cheese!), and he's going to be a tenacious opponent, ala. Drake of the Orange Islands. Its as simple as that really.

I would say that is true...as i'd love to see him win...

but i rather say he should WIN ;D...lol or at least lose in the finals

as i'd like May and Max to see him in a close win...
