Ahhh Mallow battled and won!!! I'm so happy!! She finally had a complete battle without any help or interruption. She and Tsareena looked fierce. I also liked the flowers added when Tsareena used High Jump Kick (I think that was the move made?) and that other grass move to make that mean Persian look ridiculous! I really enjoyed the song made by Porno Grafitti at the ending as well as the footage shown.
It was a nice touch having Ash ask questions as Faba was presenting his invention. It gave me "Science is amazing!" flashbacks but in a good way (at least his inventions work and are actually comical!) And the return of the judged silence (じ----~). Also when Pikachu sneezed on Ash, it's like it was payback for Ash throwing up on him in a past episode! I really liked the electrical communication going on between Pikachu, Togedemaru, and Dedenne. That was smart! It was terrible on how many times the kids could've been squashed! But I liked that with Sophocles' constant worry and panicking, it makes him inattentive which had him miss the Comfee ride Ash and Lillie got. And of course the best thing was Mallow getting some spotlight (I gleed happily when Mallow worried over Lillie when she got shrunk and Lillie saying Mallow's name in relief when she came to rescue them. They need a hug between each other, I live for their adorable friendship/bro(?)mance moments!) I think it was good for Kiawe and Lana to take a full backseat (Lana barely had anything this episode). It was about time Mallow and Tsareena to be the heroes this time. My only complaint is that I expected Prof Kukui to be doing something but no, he just let the Ultra Guardians do it. And why did they let Faba use the machine again, knowing it's unpredictability!? That guy is so weird, he makes me uncomfortable. I did enjoy his visual thought though.
Imagine the poor thing flying despite wanting to sleep just so it can find his trainer. Reminds me of that one DP episode where Brock was out getting supplies and they realized Gliscor was left behindI wonder if Rowlet went back to Ash's backpack in the end? I don't want him being forgotten just flying in midair.
I assume it would have returned to Ash's bag because it didn't seem Rowlet would have had much hope finding them since they already went into the whirlpool. So Kiawe, Lana and Mallow got into their Ultra Guardians suits as a last ditch effort to find the rest of their classmates.I wonder if Rowlet went back to Ash's backpack in the end? I don't want him being forgotten just flying in midair.
This right here. This isn't the first time Tsareena has battled, and it makes sense that evolving would have made her stronger. Additionally, that Persian seems to primarily be a pet, not a battle Pokémon, so I don't expect that it was that strong to begin with.Tsareena is a fully-evolved Pokemon - and it’s battled before, even if it’s not primarily a battler - so it’s not all that surprising that it can fight, especially since Persian is probably not all that strong anyway.
Why do you keep having this mindset?I tell you if they do to Mallow what they did to Serena and start dumbing down every plot into a curb stomp battle just so she can look superficially badass I WON'T be happy.
Yeah that was hilarious! I could see them doing that again here!Imagine the poor thing flying despite wanting to sleep just so it can find his trainer. Reminds me of that one DP episode where Brock was out getting supplies and they realized Gliscor was left behind
...The writers could have easily given that role to the more battle-experienced Kiawe or even to Lana, but instead, they gave it to Lana and her newly evolved Tsareena.
That's something I quite enjoy about the Sun and Moon series, there have been a number of occasions where there is a CotD that shows up from time to time, be it whether I like their personality or just their design, that I find it a bit of a shame sometimes that they never show up ever again after their first appearance. So It's nice to see some of them show up again from time to time, be it a cameo or a part of a different plot.A cute episode, as expected.
Once again, SM uses minor characters from past episodes, which continues making Alola feel lively instead of going from character of the day that never shows up again to character of the day that never shows up again.

Of course, due to the traveling aspect of previous series, doing something like that was a bit more difficult, so I'm happy that their trying to take a bit more of an advantage of that with Sun and Moon's more fixed setting.
Overall, this episode was pretty fun to watch. Though I'm a little bit sad that Ash, Lillie and Sophocles never got to ride a Joltik though...
Oh... then maybe a Flabébé then if that's available in Alola? Just wanted to see them interact with one of the smallest Pokemon in the series.Joltik isn't found on Alola... a complete shame sense they are among the cutest of bug type pokemon. (With Weedle following.)
