Too bad its not an amazing topic. How did Ash lose the Hoenn league? I never saw that episode. And Pikachu wouldnt be the same if it evolved. How will it sit on Ash's head and stuff while its a fat Raichu.

tysons meowth and ashs picahu was battling and they both kocked eachother out but pikachu ate to much mcdonalds and couldn't get up so tyson one... hmm and maybe instead of pickachu riding ash, ash could be riding riachu =D

Ash doesn't want to be mean and force it to evolve, Pikachu didn't want to in the first battle so like I said before Ash doesn't want to force him. Whenever Pikachu is ready to evolve is when Ash will let it.

Many people want's pikachu to evolve, but it's not gonna happen, because he is like the mascot of the show or something like that.

Pikachu's not going to evolve. It's already established the fact that it won't in the battle against Lt. Surge in the 1st season.

What the eff? What in the name of the Good Lord does building weapons have to do with Ash evolving pikachu? And keep your posts intelligent, please. You're making my IQ drop by the hundreds. Didn't you see the episode where Pika was almost evolved in the first season, before he fought Surge the second time? It was clearly established that it won't evolve in that episode. Ash's Pikachu is like the poster child for pokemon. And, for the record, evolving pikachu to raichu will just make it fatter and lazier.

I always just think of it as Pikachu having the Light Ball, you know, the item that doubles Special Attack for Pikachu and not Raichu... that's why it's so strong. /speculation

Pikachu will never evolve. We've known this since Electric Shock Showdown, which was the fourteenth episode. As of the latest Japanese episode, there are over 460. That makes nearly 446 episodes where we've known that Pikachu decided not to evolve. I realize there are people who want Pikachu to evolve, but let's face it, Pikachu will never evolve. It's been established that at least two of Ash's Pokemon--Pikachu and Bulbasaur--will never evolve, and it's been established for several years now.
