Gengar has better chances of seeing the light of day being with Ash than having Go as it’s Trainer. At least it won’t be seen as just a number of Go’s selfish collection. Gengar has many opportunities to be in the spotlight, it’s not like Ash has much Pokémon as is. Only ones who will get screentime of some form are the popular Pokémon.

If Gengar's old trainer ever paid attention to the PWC bet he is now regretting giving away the Gengar that helped defeat Leon.

Are you guys honestly assuming just and just Gengar could beat one of Leon's Pokemon, because it only got to do that under Ash THE UNBEATABLE TRAINER!!! but not its owner. This is the same Ash who owned a well-trained(?) Dragonite with the Frankenstein monster he recently got.

And then screwed a veteran full team of two - one using a battle gimmick - using the Dragonite he recently got.

Well what's important is that Gengar's old trainer realized that the so called "curse" was BS from the get go.
