I know what you mean. Ash just met Aaron in the last Japanese episode, so it is pretty much a sure thing that he will meet all of the members of the Sinnoh E4 while in Sinnoh. This has never happened in the anime before, so it has to be a sign of something. Then on the other side, the writers always like to show that Ash has room to grow, and that he is not yet at a level where he has a chance of winning against an E4 members or champion.

The question is, will Ash get to actually battle the E4? If so, then he should win the tournament so he gets to fight and possibly lose to the E4 or Cynthia.

In Platinum, the player gets to have a double battle with Flint and Volkner. Any bets on that's how they'll introduce Flint?

Hmm, well, it depends how we define the term "smarter" *whacked* ow x.x;

Well, I see some more maturity... compare his reaction to Aipom stealing his hat to the reaction he had when Primeape took it. Quite an astonishing difference, I must say o_o

I also see him getting smarter by helping his Pokémon grow and develop battle strategies with them.

But overall, he's still the same old goofball we know & love 8D

I'll answer this first:

Maybe a little, but he's still the same old Ash we all ♥! Strategy wise, smarter a bit. Brain wise, teeny bit. Argument wise, SUPER! You get what I mean, right? He doesn't go on that much of a rage anymore. Unless Paul appears, but that's off topic.

And Maid Satoshi. Funny though. Imagine it being a running gag that he has to dress up as a maid to attract Team Rocket to 'his side' while the rest run away. o_O

Great fan art there, guys! ^^ Nice. I like the one with Paul in it. Imagine if Paul saw Ash in the maid costume/outfit. Then instead of 'losing coordinator', he'll say something like 'losing girl trainer with a Pikachu'. In a sarcastic way. >o<
