Ash vs. Rival?

Ok now in your opinion if ash goes on to the diamond/pearl region enters the league who would u want him to face in a six on six battle.

I would have to say it would be a toss up between Richie or AJ, i do believe that ash's rematch with richie is being delayed. They gave richie 3 hoso episodes. I would say richie i mean i really would like to see a pikachu vs. sparky match and if his zippo evolved then charizard vs. Zippo would be fun.

On this poll I probably would choose AJ, at least he's an interesting character. The rest of them are all pretty much the same, all "mr. nice guy's".

Masamune. Coolest rival yet, IMO. Gary, Ritchie, and Harrison were really dull, Tetsuya was pretty much just like every other Trainer on earth, and AJ is just a horrible character.

I don't think any of Ash's old rivals are poised to make a return in the D/P saga. But Harrison might appear in the current season airing in Japan.

Either Richie or Masamune. Richie needs to rebattle Ash again, and I was hoping for a Hoenn League match. Masamune had a great personality, trying to beat Ash at everything, but sometimes Ash copied him, making himself think he was better than Ash.

Oh Yamato-san I think that Mew3 likes the idea of every trainer having a water because water types are the most common.

I also would like to see Richie comeback and have a water type but one that can actually battle on land like Octillery or Spheal.

Probably his old rivals will not return but I would like to see battle between Ash and AJ. I'm wondering, what is going on with him now. He was a strong trainer and had good strategies. Who knows? Maybe Ash will meet him again.
