Ash's Cyndaquil should have evolved

Ash's Cyndaquil should have at least gotten to Quilava. It would have been great if it got to Typhlosion. That stupid Chikorita. Why it and not Cyndaquil?

Squirtle: no it wasn't given the chance and it is too late as it has left Ash party.

Maybe but Bayleef looks cuter than Quilava and the fact that he used Chikorita more out of the starter it is the same with Charmander and Treeko.

Quilava looks much cuter than Bayleef. Also, the deal with Treeko is that he was the only Hoenn Starter Ash had.

But anyway...

Yes, Cyndaquil should have evolved. If only to finally have a pokémon go through life and 'grow up' as it were. Starting off as a sleepy, reserved little guy who could barely muster a flamethrower and progressing forward as years passed to become a brute like Typhlosion (Whilst still retaining that meek and lazy personallity to a certain degree) would have made for some truely great character development. Not to mention we'd have got a respectable fully-evolved fire type. (Opinionated? ME? Get outta town!)
It's sad that they decided to side-step that scenario, but hey. Wasted potential and missed opportunities are the essence of this show, are they not?
Though if it's any consolation, I'm pleased that they did evolve Chikorita into Bayleef. Not only is Bayleef drop-dead adorable, but it provided us with some touching (though rather cheesy ) CD eps.

Ash's Squirtle is one of the Pokémon that will never evolve. It prides itself on being strong as a Squirtle, and it could hardly lead the Squirtle Squad if it were a Wartortle or Blastoise. If Ash ends up with a 3rd evo Water-type, by far the best chance would be whatever is the D/P Water starter.

If it meant improving Cyndaquil, I'm all for evolution. I wasn't too into most of his Johto pokemon

Of course it should have evolved. I would've loved to see Ash with a Quilava. Ash needs a good fire type besides Charizard.

Personally, I think Quilava is cuter than Cyndaquil, so I was always hoping for it to evolve.

I like Cyndaquil the same way that it is. Quilava and Typhlosion are cool Pokemon, but I'd rather see Ash with a Cyndaquil. Besides, he already has a powerhouse fire-type, Charizard.

Besides being small like Pokemon Cyndaquil has advantages over larger ones like Typhlosion. Why else would they have a Squirtle Squad when there is Warturtles and Blastoises. ;025;
