Ash's Evelotion

Yami Dragon

Dragon Traner
I know meny of you have seen all the episodes from the bigining. We all seen how Ash started off. He was a slouch of a pokemon tranner. He was late getting to Prof. Oaks Lab. Draged poor piachu with a rope. Now He is a cunning trainner that is strong bond with his pokemon. I say he evolved fo the better.

What do you think?

Shift

I'll learn you good!
Well, to be fair, those instances weren't really his fault; he was only late from his Pokeball alarm clock being accidently thrown against a wall and smashed, and he couldn't bring Pikachu any other way (being shocked again, Pikachu refusing to move or go into its ball, etc.) But yeah, I get what you're saying. He's started as a kid who was really overconfident and brash, and he matured into someone who can take the time to do things right. That's what I like.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
We all know AG Ash is nothing like his Kanto counterpart.

He's more aggressive, less naive, acts as a mentor to May/Max, has stronger Pokemon, and is a much better battler.

The change of Ash has been one of the best parts of watching the show. He went from a clueless idiot who didn't know what the hell he was doing into the experienced trainer he is in the Advanced series.

Almighty Zard

He has returned.

and what i find funny about that statement as that some people actually like him less now for being that way, and also he is still abit over confident sometime not all the time but early in AG you could tell especially in his battle against Roxanne

...NINE-THOUSAND!!!!
wait... the thread title isn't "Ash's Eevee-Lotion?"

learn to spell

anyway, the way Ash has changed throughout the series is excellent, although I wonder how he'll change any further

The writing changed with the show becoming dumb as hell...if we saw real character evolution it would have been excellent.

What's strange is that even after he's gotten so much experience over all this time some people still think he's stupid.

Why is that?

(Sorry for the double posting!!)

People think that way because they think anime=games when its the other way around, the games aren't like the anime. Generally since everyone that plays the games KNOW the strategies in and out (and THEN some) they EXPECT Ash to be the same way when its not. The real world from the 'Pokemon World' perpective is EXTREMELY DIFFERENT to our world where we're just playing a game through a LCD screen.

Ash fan girl! Cute!
Yup all the characters change, I like the way Ash's character has developed, he rocks!

Ash is very developed, though I daresay I liked Ash The Idiot. One could argue his character is actually still an idiot considering his constant obliviousness, but thats ok cause I find it appealing and its changed enough in certain area's to class as development

I think Ash has changed A LOT since the 1st episode. I usually like Ash's character EXCEPT his stubborness.

It is Ash's stubborness that drives him. If not for that he would of quit long ago.

Yup, Ash's character changed a lot alright. And it's a good thing because it would've been very strange if he had remained his inexperienced self.
Pokemon aren't the only ones that evolve. Their trainers do too.

It's kind of cool how he's changed but when he was a rookie it was more intresting to watch because you never new what ash was going to do but now everything is so predictable...

(sigh)I miss the days when Ash would just throw a Pokeball at a Pokemon and expect the creature would stay in the ball.

You know, after 8(?) seasons, I would expect Ash to learn something by now. I also would expect that Ash would be around 18 years old too, but for some reason, Ash and Co. haven't aged at all.

Other than this mystifying fact, I really enjoy the show and Ash''s growth as a character. I also enjoy Team Rocket's growth too, as well as that of Misty and Brock.
