I'm surprised this slipped away with noone here mentioning it from Comic-Con, but it appears totally legit.....even with all the AARN and VA arguing, I don't think it's a red herring.

All I can say is if it's true, it's the first thing PUSA finally has done completely right. Finally getting to the subject and gradually revealing it as a build-up to a long-awaited conclusion makes up a bit for their mistakes thus far.

That's true. But I still see nothing to say it CAN'T happen, and so far the consensus is that PUSA is following through on most of their promises (recasting Ash again, keeping the original music) and add in the fact that there's now going to be a concurrent series starring Pearl in Shinou, perhaps they are going to begin wrapping up the storylines still left open...

I'm sure the very (boring) reveal of Ash's father will be Silver from that Richie Hoso. Even Murgatoyd thinks so.

I'm really not sure why people get excited over such minor things, why not wonder about Misty or Tracey's parents? They're not around either.

I think I must be one of the only animé fans who really couldn't give two apple eatin' Duck clogs about Ash's Dad-E.
Surely the most important plot point in the series would involve finding out where Caroline misplaced that darn clothes peg? Am I the only one who is just itching to see whether or not the poor woman will ever be able to hang Norman's other sock on the washing line ever again?!

According to Pokemon Live, I believe, Ash's mother and Giovanni dated.
