k sorry not sure if anyone has done this thread already. But k here is my question, who is ashs father? Will we ever see him? Is he a trainer? Is he a gym leader? One of the elite four? Did he die? Im confused, does anyone know

We already know that Ash has a dad, why do we need know who he is. He might as well be a random filler person and no one important. It would be cool if there was a plot twist about Ash's father but this is Pokemon, I don't think the writers will focus on the dad as much as capturing pokemon and stuff.

If any mod sees this, this is gonna get closed faster than a Clamperl in distress.

I doubt that they'll ever mention Ash's father, or even show him. Ash is based off the hero of the old Pokemon games, Red, and he had a single mother. They showed May, based off of the female trainer in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, with both parents, so there was no reason to give Ash a father. I don't question it anyways, because this is Ash's story, not the story of Ash's family.

Didn't you know? The new Hikari character in the Pokemon DP series is Ash's father.

Seriously, we will more than likely never know. The characters don't seem to even care about where mr.Ketchum could be much less think about him. Ash barely speaks about his mom, so don't have high hopes.

I agree with that preson Ash might be the son of Giovanni the Team Rocket leader so Deila never want him to know because if she told him she would be afraid of Ash.
