Ash's New Pokemon During the Grand Festival

It seems on the past 2 Grand Festivals, Ash got a new pokemon. The first one he got Glalie, and the second one he got Aipom.

At first I thought it was a Staraptor waaaaaaaaaaay back when the group was at Lake Valor, but I was wrong. It can either be Grotle, Gible, or Buizel It seems more evident that it will be Gible, since it will be really weak in the pokemon league, but Gabite wasn't in the opening. I personally would really like it to be Gible

Grotle is also pretty unlikely, because it will probably evolve in its own episode, like Monferno will.

It would also be cool if Buizel evolved because then it would break "the water pokemon curse", but again, it wasn't in the opening.

Also I doubt he'll catch a new pokemon because he already has six pokemon, and has already released one.

Sadly, I doubt it will really be anyone, and they will break this tradition that I really enjoy.

What do you think?

Also, have you noticed whenever one of Ash's pokemon evolves, its in a battle wtih Paul? I mean, even in Monferno's upcomming evolution Paul is confirimed to appear.

I feel that it will be Grotle who evolves because we Ash has Torterra in the opening and my theory is Grotle uses a new move soon but can't control it and a little training during the GF result in not only mastering the move but evolution as well.

We can have 10 episodes of the GF, and all of them should still be on Dawn and her rivals!

The only one that makes sense is Grotle, since it was confirmed Buizel and Gible wouldn't evolve... It was also confirmed the team he has is his final Sinnoh team, unless he catches a Pokemon that gets sent directly to Oak's.... But, that's unlikely...

Well, if Grotle evolves before the GF, which I think he should, I want Buizel to evolve. I've always thought that was the place for him to evolve, considering he was originally a Coordinators Pokemon.

Man... Looking back on all of the episodes and what's happened in them... Sinnoh really has been awesome.

I think the tradition should break or Grotle will evolve during the Grand Festival. It will probably be Grotle evolving though since it is hard to think of a way to make Grotle evolve and we know it will evolve before Sinnoh ends.

True, the Writers just gave us a little "Sneak Peek" at Ash's Final Sinnoh Team.

1) Grotle seems to have the priority first to evolve,

2) then Buizel,

3) a new capture,

4) nothing happenening,

5) and lastly...... Gible evolving.

I want Buizel to evolve, but I highly doubt that'll happen though. Especially since Grotle and Infernape are evolving. But maybe they decide to evolve Gible? Who knows, the writers are so unpredictable these days.

Well, Ash is the MAIN character and most people look forward to the League than the GF. Plus the GF is not too far before the League, so it isn't surprising that Ash would be training. But I do agree, Dawn should get most of the spotlight during the GF, since Ash is going to have the League for himself, and, the League is longer. But I guess the writers probably want to balance it out for the female haters.

I see Nando having a role in Grotle's evolution- they need to maintain Nando as a rival to both Ash and Dawn, and he definitely needs some interaction with Ash during the Grand Festival. Makes sense that a fan of grass-types would be able to help with Grotle/Torterra, and then if Ash battles Nando in the league then Torterra will be a central player.

No one should get their hopes up on Buizel. None of Ash's waters ever evolve (Excluding Kingler).

I hope it's Gible, since I don't think the new opening exactly "confirmed" it was not going to evolve. Grotle seems to be the most likely IMO.

Seems likely but too similar to the last time in Hoenn. As long as Team Rocket doesn't interfere(unlikely since Jessie will be focusing on the GF) and Yanmega uses a powerful Silver Wind, aiming for Pikachu but Grotle takes the hit, thus, causing it to evolve. That would be just stupid & Repetitive.

Come on, some thing will happen for Ash during Dawn's grand festival, whether learning a new move or evolution. Always does, I'd like it to be Buziel. Since he looked the way he does now in the opeaning, I'm having doughts. I'm thinking it will be Grotle.

Well, if the animators don't intend on updating the opening, I say Grotle'd be the one to evolve. If the writers have any more surprises up their sleeves concerning the future of Ash's team, then I say Gible might evolve, or (though least likely) Buizel might. For all we know, Grotle might have an episode focused on it's evolution like Monferno/Infernape.

In any case, I agree that the focus shouldn't be on Ash when it's supposed to be Dawn's moment to shine. Milk out the Grand Festival for all it's worth now than never, I say. Ash still has the League to deal with (which should undoubtly be pretty epic.)
