I always wonder what levels each of ash's pokemon were? If levels did exist in the anime pokemon world what level do you think each of ash's current pokemon are.

Pikachu - Around level 80. Ash uses Pikachu often and as Pika can wipe out Rock and Steel types pretty easily, I'd say it'd have to be one strong rat.

Charizard - Around level 80. Charizard has really increased its power due to training in the Charicific Valley, and its battle with Articuno was a testament to that.

Sceptile - Technically, to evolve, it'd have to be lv. 36(?), so, I'll say around level 40. Sceptile is a strong powerhouse on Ash's current team.

Swellow - Around level 30. Swellow is a powerful bird with a lot of stamina, but it still has some problems with manuevering.

Donphan - Around level 30. Still not the strength it could be.

Aipom - Around level 10. Aipom doesn't know many attacks and gets knocked out easily.

Corphish - Around level 25. Corphish has improved on its attack and speed since Ash met it. I'm hoping that it will evolve soon(and thus give Ash another dark type).

Torkoal - Level 20. Ash doesn't use Torkoal enough, so it hasn't gained much battle experience.

Old(er) teams:

Tauros - Level 50(or about thereof). Ash's Tauros were all pretty strong to begin with, and even though he has not actively trained them, they proved themselves in the Orange Island area.

Totodile - Level 20. Still pretty weak when it comes to taking blows.

Cyndaquil - Level 20. See Totodile.

Bayleef - Level 30. Bayleef has good defense.

Heracross - Level 40. Good speed and accuracy. Although, if I recall correctly, it knows 'Megahorn', and that's not a move learned until lvl 50(?).

Bulbasaur - Level 50. Bulba is about as powerful as it can get without evolving.

Don't Snorunt evolve into Glalie at level 45? That means Glalie has a higher level than Sceptile (which is wired because Sceptile is more trained with Ash, gues this shows why levels aren't in the anime).

I think Ash's Krabby is like level 7. As soon as he caught it, he sent it to Prof. oak. and, he never used it since then

Not true, not true.

Ash used Krabby during the Kanto Championship for several battles. During its battle against Exeggutor, Krabby evolved into Kingler....so, I'm guessing Kingler is around lv. 30.

Show does not equal Game.

snorunt could've been level 2 when it evolved for all we know.

Lil Brother

Just kinda there.
Anyone who thinsk levels exist in the anime hasn't watched the show at all. -_-

People saying things like "It's at a much higher level than Pikachu!" are dub-added, right? And even then they seem to mean levels of experience, not literal gaming levels. If it is dub-added then the only episode where gaming levels are mentioned is the episode where the group goes to the Pokémon Academy. The same episode where Ash and Brock are drooling over a girl who looks to be 12 or so.

Yeah.

Personally, I think in the anime the pokemon level = their trainer's skill. If the trainer doesn't know what to do, then the Pokemon has a low level ability, but if they know exactly what their doing with their Pokemon, they can beat a ton of people. Heck, I bet an elite four member could beat Ash with a Magikarp with the right skills.

I know that level exists in the anime, I heard them mention the levels before.

It was metioned once in "The School of Hard Knocks". This was when the show was still in its early days and they wern't sure where it was going at this point.

Also you can't really use levels in terms of evolution because if you rememeber Ash captured Krabby without battling it (making it pretty weak) and it evolved after its first battle. Also there wasn't much of a period between Charmeleon and Charizard.

I think: -
Pikachu- 80
Charizard- 85
Squirtle- 60
Bulbasaur- 75
Kingler- 40
Muk- 30
Tauros- 50
Snorlax- 60
Heracross- 50
Bayleef- 35
Cyndaquil- 35
Totodile- 25
Noctowl- 40
Donphan- 50
Aipom- 60
Swellow-80
Sceptile- 70
Corphish- 45
Torkoal- 40
Glalie- 45
Pidgeot-50
Primeape-35
Larvitar-25

These whole "levels guides" are about the same as the power level guides from Dragon Ball Z. They're illogical and damn near impossible. Why?

Do you honestly believe that if Pikachu was lvl 80, it would have lost to Yarukimono? How would anyone progress at all if Gym Leaders were of that level?

Do you follow where I'm going with this?

Well I'm glad there aren't levels in the anime. I mean who wants to say...Phanpy you evolved, you must be in level 25 or something like that. I think that the whole evolving thing is not about level but skill and determination, like Charizard forced itself to evolve as a Charmeleon.

I have to agree that I doubt that levels are in the anime. I mean, if they were, ash would never have a problem fighting new or inexperienced trainers, so I am guessing that they are non-existent.

Oh, u mad bro?
Pikachu near level 80.he has had it from the start and has used it alot
Charizard somewhere over 60.it has been training and has gotten stronger
Sceptile close to Charizard. It is stated that Sceptile is 2nd closest to Ash's Charizard in power
Donphan.at least lv 40.he hasn't used it much
Corphish close to 50.he hasn't used much but it has battled alot.
Swellow close to Sceptile it is one of his strongest hoenn pokemon
Torkoal a little past Corphish.Ash has used Torkoal in regular battles and it has become very strong
Glalie.Equal to Torkoal.Glalie spend the least amount of time with ash.but it became very strong

Snorlax almost as strong as Sceptile.Ash has had Snorlax for a while and it has defeated many strong opponents

Tauros. The Tauros that he uses has to be strong if it knows a move like Fissure

Heracross he has used it alot.I would put it between Swellow and Snorlax

All of ash's johto pokemon should be around lv 40.for him to place that high they must be strong

Here's how I think it goes.

Pikachu - Lv80
Sceptile - Lv65
Swellow - Lv53
Corphish - Lv49
Donphan - Lv42
Aipom - Lv50

I would put why put I just got my post deleted since the page came up as can't be displayed. :(

Kabuto

little punks!
Lets see here:

Sceptile level 45
Swellow level 40
Aipom level 30
Corphish level 30
Donphan level 30
Pikachu level 5- Was originally level 100 but for legal reasons had to be changed back. So all Ash's hard work was for nil'.
