I *want* him to get a Pocchama. He has two powerful starters of the other types, but as for water, Totodile's potential fizzled out with the rest of Johto, and Squirtle's decent but is unlikely to evolve, and is in a psuedo-released state so he can't have it with him that much. And Pocchama's so ADORABLE that I wouldn't mind it with him even if it IS too "cute" for him.

As for what I think he'll actually GET...I can't see the writers giving him another Grass type starter as his only one seeing as they did that for the Houen trio, so there's a strike against Naotle. Hitozaru's...well, I don't like the thing in the first place, so my subconscious is undoubtedly working overtime to find reasons why he won't have one. For now, I'll just go with this:

He JUST CAUGHT a monkey with an arse-related oddity(in this case, a hand sprouting from it), AKA "Aipom". I can't see him catching ANOTHER one so soon.

And thus we're left with Pocchama. :3

in hoen i wanted him to get mudkip so he could get a swampert since he had charizard and bayleef and in thiss gen he would get naetoru but since he got sceptile i would like him to get pochama since he needs a fully evolved water starter may should get naetoru to balance her team i dont know about hikozaru

Another monkey, c'mon, unoriginal. We haven't seen a penguin or a decent water pokemon in Ash's team at all. Other than Kingler (whose sole purpose of being with Ash is to be a tourney pokemon), all his team water types are unevolved. This stinks because it is always fire or grass getting the glory (not that its bad). So I believe Ash should get Pocchama (sp?).

Well, we don't know that Ash & Co. as even going to be in D/P seeing as apparently the new series includes that new girl. Still, I'm hoping they are...

I'm wishing that Ash will get Pocchama, but as mentioned above, it might go to May. He just got a grass starter in Hoenn, so I also don't think he'll get one again. I'm against Hikozaru, not only personal prejudices (it's ugly), [SPOILER="spoiler'] but becuase he just got Aipom[/SPOILER]

My vote goes to Pocchama.

Hikozaru i think because ash hasnt had a fire type starter in ages and he didnt even have a fire for a while and i also think it just suits him better than the others though id love to see him catch naetoru because it will go with the grass ones being his main and cos its my favourite of the new starters lol
